  • In the ongoing battle of rockers vs. the GOP, Don Henley is suing California Republican Assemblyman Charles DeVore after the politician wrote new lyrics to “Boys of Summer” slamming Barack Obama, then did a version of “All She Wants To Do Is Dance” attacking Senator Barbara Boxer, TMZ reports. Henley is seeking damages and that the videos be removed from the Web.

  • Madonna was thrown from a horse on Long Island this weekend, sustaining minor injuries, CNN reports. The singer’s appeal in the failed adoption of a Malawi girl will be heard by the courts on May 4th, adds Yahoo!.
  • Paul McCartney says the Pirate Bay founders’ one-year prison sentence is “fair.” “I’ve been very lucky because my main era with the Beatles was at a time when everyone did get paid,” McCartney told the BBC Newsbeat. “I don’t want to see [young bands] destitute after a couple of years when they were mega. So I think it’s fair.”
  • System of a Down’s John Dolmayan was among the 12 drummers who auditioned for the Smashing Pumpkins, SP’s official Website reports. Due to an overwhelming response, additional tryouts will take place in May.

I hate it when politics are brought into the equation of artists, but Don Henley is still amazing and so are the Eagles. Henley most definately should have been much higher on that 100 greatest singers list.

Paul said he would have stole free music when asked. He is only saying that no one should make money off others hard work and have them suffer.

Henley isn’t even in the top million. No range.
