“Guitar Hero: Van Halen” Reportedly On the Way

3/9/09, 1:26 pm EST

Van Halen are rumored to be the next band to get its own Guitar Hero game, Joystiq.com is reporting. The group would be the third with a specifically branded Guitar Hero title, following Aerosmith and Metallica, whose version is set for release on March 29th (check out our Guitar Hero: Metallica sneak preview.) According to Joystiq, GH: VH will feature many of the band’s greatest hits (”Jump,” “Panama,” “Hot for Teacher”), plus recordings by Weezer, Tenacious D and Judas Priest.

While Activision wouldn’t comment on the game, the potential of a Van Halen Guitar Hero is already generating hundreds of questions. Will new bassist Wolfgang Van Halen appear in the game instead of Michael Anthony? Will the game feature playable versions David Lee Roth, Sammy Hagar and Gary Cherone, and if it’s just Roth does that mean his polygonal doppelganger will sing Hagar’s “Right Now?” Also, will Diamond Dave’s virtual dressing room ensure that he has enough room to practice his digital martial arts? We must know.

Of course, it comes as little surprise that rumors of a Van Halen Guitar Hero leaked out just days after their competitor Rock Band revealed more details about their own game dedicated to another pretty popular quartet. As Rock Daily reported last week, The Beatles: Rock Band will hit stores September 9th and feature career-spanning tracks from the Fab Four’s Please, Please Me through Abbey Road. Clearly the Guitar Hero makers had to plot a course of action to compete with Rock Band’s mega-release for the holiday sales, and they’re hoping the allure of blasting through “Eruption” and “Hot for Teacher” will ensure two video games are under the tree come Christmas.

okay, i understand The Beatles…and possibly Aerosmith. but what the fuck’s up with mediocre (in the grand scheme of things) rock bands like Metallica and Van Halen? I understand it’s all about permission, but I say we need Led Zeppelin before any other “metal” bands. Perhaps some Jimi Hendrix & the Experience?

We’re gonna have fucking Jonas Brothers and Fall Out Boy guitar hero/rock band games before you know it….FUCK!

iowa | 3/9/2009, 1:43 pm EST

P.S. The Beatles Rock Band will blow Guitar Hero: Van Halen out of the water.

jason | 3/9/2009, 3:09 pm EST

I keep waiting for the Rolling Stones Guitar Hero. Bring on Keef Riff Hard!

magic-marshall | 3/9/2009, 3:15 pm EST

mediocre… the DLR era, really?

Adam | 3/9/2009, 3:16 pm EST

Iowa you must be crazy! The Beatles Rockband will suck. I dont wanna play twist and shout! Now Van Halen will freaking kick butt. I been waiting for them to do a Guitar Hero

Hummer | 3/9/2009, 3:22 pm EST

@ iowa

uhhh…ya fuckin kidding me? you understand Aerosmith, but not Metallica or fucking Van Halen? And you canNOT even fucking compare them getting a game to the Jonas Brothers and fall out boy getting a game

guitar_davey | 3/9/2009, 3:25 pm EST

When are the people who play these games going to start learning to play *real* instruments and form *real* bands?

Sitting around simulating playing musical instruments with plastic toys in your hands?! What a waste of time! Especially considering that the guitar has to be one of the easiest instruments to play! 90% of the guitarists featured in these games learned to play the frigging things on their own!

Less video games, more real music!

The TRUTH | 3/9/2009, 3:54 pm EST

Hey IOWA,

If the Van Halen and Metallica games are to HARD for you to play, maybe rockband will come out with a Hannah Montanna version for YOU!!

Leave the REAL ROCK to the BIG BOY’s!!

disbot 3000 | 3/9/2009, 4:30 pm EST

I’m a HUGE Beatles fan, but there aren’t tons of songs by them that you can “rock out” to. Van Halen is very riff and solo heavy and seemingly perfect for this kind of thing, but the jury is out on how much fun it will be to play along with “Fool on the Hill” or “Eight Days a Week.” Most of these songs don’t even have guitar solos lasting more than 10 seconds and, while George was the perfect guy for the Beatles, He’s not exactly a Guitar God.

disbot 3000 | 3/9/2009, 4:33 pm EST

And I don’t see how you can do a Van Halen game and not include Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar. Mike was part of the band from the beginning up until a couple of years ago and, while you may not be a Sammy fan, you can’t deny that his work was part of Van Halen’s most successful period. It would be very unfortunate to omit Sammy and downright criminal to dis Mike. Having said that, it is probably exactly what Eddie has in mind. Fabulous musician with little to no class.

Salviati | 3/9/2009, 5:53 pm EST

Activision has really destroyed this genre of games by pushing for exclusivity. While the sheer technical difficulty of Van Halen, Aerosmith and Metallica is superior to the Beatles, I think its very difficult to comprehend precisely how amazing the Beatles were at not only song construction but also song performance, especially singing. If Harmonix does it right, be prepared for having 3 mics, 2 for harmonies.
As a person who regularly plays Rock Band, I would ten times rather play a great song with low technical difficulty than a mediocre song at high difficulty.

Realm | 3/9/2009, 6:55 pm EST

Here’s something that seems to be flying under the radar. In October there is going to be a Tool guitar hero game. Now that I have to have!

Robo | 3/9/2009, 8:08 pm EST

I for one am stoked. Long live the mighty VH.

VH | 3/9/2009, 8:33 pm EST

VAN HALEN ASTEROIDS.
search for it on the net..
It’s amazing! NO kidding

ted | 3/9/2009, 8:59 pm EST

that guy put metallica and the jonas brothers on the same scale XD

/dumbass’ed

sid | 3/9/2009, 9:23 pm EST

eruption = pain and agony

Bryan | 3/9/2009, 9:28 pm EST

Beatles were better Van Halen or Metallica.

I love VH, Metallica, and Aerosmith, but I hate that Activision are just being money grabbing whores. All these great songs that could just as easily be DLC, yet have to spend 60 bucks just to have different characters in the background.
The only one that makes sense is the Beatles game cause they are so difficult to get the music.

Oh, and as long as Robert Plant is alive, there will not be any Zepplin in any of these games, he said so himself

Dewey Finn | 3/9/2009, 9:56 pm EST

FINALLY!!!! VH should’ve been the FIRST band GH went to for their game. This is the best band for the game. Has ANYONE inspired more air guitarists than the mighty Edward Van Halen?!?!?!?

Now please no one get crazy, there are many brilliant guitarists and other guitar gods out there, but VH is just soooo perfect for this format.

EVH 5150 | 3/10/2009, 1:17 am EST

VH will be making a new album starting in June. They will blow away all this crap that’s out here! Long live the might VH!

CR1ZZ | 3/10/2009, 3:24 am EST

Take up real guitar. If you can play a Van Halen piece on a real guitar maybe someone will be impressed.

suckit | 3/10/2009, 5:30 am EST

great choice for a game!! if you dont like video games, piss off and post your bullshit somewhere else. this game should be a blast!

Brien Comerford | 3/10/2009, 10:52 am EST

Jeff Beck and Steve Vai are vastly superior guitar virtuos than EVH.

Cristian | 3/10/2009, 12:03 pm EST

i will play in my wii is gOInG to be
ROCK!!

LOVE VAN HALEN, IM VERY PLEASE TO READ THEY GONE TO RECORD A NEW ALBUM THIS BAND IS A LEYEND, NOW ROCK IS DEAD, HAS NO PASSION….

WHERE THE ROCK FANS ANYWAY??

Jason | 3/10/2009, 12:23 pm EST

Vai is a technical wiz who can’t write a catchy tune to save his life and Beck is great but wayyyy over rated. There are guitarists maybe better than EVH, MAYBE. but those guys aren’t them.

nik | 3/10/2009, 1:02 pm EST

i love van halen..but man these games are starting to get a little out of control..i mean at least put a year between releasing each game..there like littarly months apart…

disbot 3000 | 3/10/2009, 3:26 pm EST

I love Van Halen and I REALLY love the Beatles, but my point is this: Which would you rather pretend to play guitar to: a) Hot for Teacher or b) A Day in the Life? A day in the life is a better song (read, MASTERPIECE)but there is no guitar, beyond basic strumming, going on there.

I believe people SHOULD really pick up real instruments as well but, let’s face it, some people just don’t have the talent for it and why shouldn’t they be allowed to “play along.” I can play a real guitar, but I’ll be damned if I can figure out how to play these games, so there you go.

Jungleland2 | 3/10/2009, 3:26 pm EST

Now THIS game could be fun, not for pushing red & blue buttons and pretending to play guitar (lame) but to set up your players & eras.

My guess is that it will be the classic Dave era only and that it will be Wolf on bass (Ed is the king of revisionist history)

What is SHOULD be is all 7 one-time VH members to pick from so you can set up your own “reality” (VH with Wolfie and Gary maybe? VH with Dave and Sam?)

Anonymous | 3/10/2009, 3:58 pm EST

Van Halen kicks @$$! All of you guys who think that they would rather have some British boy-lovers in a GUITAR hero game need to wake up. Being an actual guitar player myself and fan of the games I can tell that the Beatles aren’t exactly worthy…

= ) | 3/10/2009, 4:05 pm EST

Van halen is a better game for guitar but the beatles is better all around. and with the beatles you get to play the best songs ever made

GanjaGadget | 3/10/2009, 4:33 pm EST

I just met Eddie Van Halen at Activision’s Digital Underground office!!!!!!

respectfulboy111 | 3/10/2009, 6:56 pm EST

^^^^^^^^^^^ and here’s Van Halen.

michigan boy | 3/10/2009, 8:51 pm EST

van halen is a way better band than the beatles.
the beatles just arent “rock” enough.
VAN HALEN RULES

Truth | 3/10/2009, 9:32 pm EST

Damn! Just imagine trying tackle the likes of “On Fire”, “Romeo Delight”, “Atomic Punk”, or “Unchained” just to name a few!

Brien Comerford | 3/10/2009, 9:34 pm EST

If Jeff Beck is overated it will come as a surprise to Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Brian May, Tony Iommi, Jimmy Page and Tom Scholz who all stated that he’s the greatest living guitarist. He’s also revered by Les Paul, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. Van Halen cannot play a 100 minute spellbinding all instrumental concert. I DO CONCEDE THAT VAN HALEN IS STILL ONE OF THE GREATEST.

Jason | 3/10/2009, 9:53 pm EST

You may just think EVH couldn’t pull off an instrumental show because 99% of the pieces he has written have lyrics over them. Imagine just the MUSIC of all your favorite VH tunes, without the lyrics. Eddie writes all the music for VH. He could play a hell of an instrumental concert, its just not what he does.

Believe me when i say i think Beck is AWESOME. I just think he’s a bit overrated. Maybe because Clapton and the like gush over him so much. But beware of EC, Beck is FAR from the only player he has said is the best. Eric should start a club called, “You’re the best….” “No, no…YOU’RE the best!” It gets gratuitous after a while. By the way, Jimi Hendrix said he thought Billy Gibbons was the best. We could go on forever with talk like that.

Mark | 3/11/2009, 2:08 pm EST

All I have to say is yes David Lee Roth Van Halen era was good stuff but Sammy Van Halen was a heck of a lot better. And Eddie Van Halen is just a dick for the reason Sammy left and kicking Michael Anthony out because you “can’t be in two bands at the same time?” It’s all a bunch of BS and any respect I’ve had for Eddie Van Halen is gone. They were awesome back in the day but I’ll never purchase another Van Halen album again.

Rob | 3/11/2009, 5:04 pm EST

Eddie VH is better than Vai and Beck. Ed cn do it all. Great songwriter, soloist, rhythm player. He’s got no weakness.

Hoser | 3/12/2009, 6:38 pm EST

Imagine playing an actual guitar!!

Nick | 3/12/2009, 8:07 pm EST

iowa i don’t know what era you grew up in, but VH is one of the greatest bands of all time with one of the greatest guitarists. No doubt the beatles are spectacular, but im sure a lot of people would rather rock out to some VH rather then beatles. The purpose of the game is to have good bands playing good, fun music. As states already, i would defiantly rather rock out to a panama or mean street rather then twist and shout. I am a drummer myself, and i can honestly say speaking for the extreme majority that a VH guitar hero would be 100 times better then a beatles rockband.

Him | 3/14/2009, 12:05 am EST

Guitar Hero is loading people down with so many upcoming games that people will be too broke to buy another with half the content for full price.

Here’s an idea. Have a band game with the setlist composed of ONLY that peticular band. It makes the title so much less misleading. How the hell are they going to put Tenacious D or even Judas Priest in a game about Van Halen?
(note: I am a huge Tenacious D and Judas Priest fan. I just don’t think they belong, kinda like Social Distortion in Metallica or Micheal Jackson in a rock based game)

davey | 3/14/2009, 12:29 am EST

why do we need hot for teacher again if we already have it on a full band game? i can see you really got me now being in there agian because its not on a full band game, but why hft?

also, why is weezer in the game? they didnt influence vh in any way what so ever! judas priest and tenasious d probably did SOMETHING to vh, but not weezer. thats a bad choice when you have all these great artitst like kiss, the stones, aerosmith, the classics. and why does beverly hills or any weezer song have to be in any gh. its not fun!

but thats just my opinion.

robbie | 3/14/2009, 10:57 am EST

still waiting for a GH: iron maiden! but GH:VH will sill be pretty awesome and worth getting

sanfran49 | 3/14/2009, 11:54 am EST

The metallica and van halen games are gonna be great and I’m going to buy them cause I’m a fan of their music. Here’s the thing though, the beatles rockband, like it or not, is gonna outsell both games combined! You underestimate the popularity of the beatles. I know of ppl who don’t know what a freaking xbox or playstation is but they are buying one of them just for that game…… PS to all you guitar hero whores…. Its not always about the difficulty of songs that make the games fun, rockband puts good music that you have fun playing as a group.for example, we have fun playing simple man by lynard skynard and expert mode seems like easy mode on that song. Its just the fact that we love the song that makes it great to play and have fun. One thing I know, guitar hero fans will never admit of RB being fun to play because their stuck in their ways. Guitar hero world tour sucks as a band play because its not made to have fun. You can’t even save a person if they go down! The singing is to hard and it takes away the fun of playing the game. Every one who is giving the beatles rockband negative reviews are just 15 to 18 year old guitar hero fanatics that hate the fact that RB has an upper hand with this game over their “precious” little game lol losers

Dave | 3/15/2009, 4:22 am EST

First of all, they only do bands that have been around forever and have tons of music (hence Aerosmith and Metallica). The Beatles are BORING to play compared to these upcoming versions of GH. I can confirm GH: VH will be coming. I work at a video game store and our computer have the game listed already, along with the ability to pre-order, which I already did.

gnr? | 3/15/2009, 9:56 am EST

whatever happened to the tour with van halen?

nc | 3/21/2009, 10:14 am EST

hey iowa shut up Van halen is one of the best rock bands of all time, even better than aerosmith so they deserve to have a guitar hero…. but i agree metallica sucks and there a wana be acdc or van halen…… im looking forward to runnin’ wit the devil- Van halen

Mercer | 3/21/2009, 7:33 pm EST

Gh:VH will be a great game. so will beatles rb. Next they should make a Gh:ACDC(i no rb did acdc game but that sucked) or iron maiden

Because it would have to be called Keyboard Hero

Van-halen sux | 4/3/2009, 11:50 pm EST

If they do make another guitar hero game put SLIPKNOT on it! Dang we need sum more metal songs on guitar hero!

Iowa fails at life | 4/9/2009, 8:13 pm EST

FUCK YOU! VH owns!! Led Zeppelin won’t happen til Plant dies. If we need anybody I would want Iron Maiden or KISS.

The All New Q | 4/11/2009, 8:31 pm EST

Van Halen is the best band in America’s history. If they don’t make a guitar hero about them, why make guitar hero?

calvin | 4/11/2009, 9:12 pm EST

Why not a guitar hero megadeath?

why so serious | 4/14/2009, 1:03 am EST

if guitar hero wants to step it up and at least compete with the Beatles rock band…they need to make the Rolling Stones Guitar hero…thts my opinion

Yo. Here's the Deal. | 4/15/2009, 8:37 pm EST

Everyone just shut up RIGHT NOW. This is what’s goin’ down::
(That’s right, whores. TWO COLONS.)

GH:VH is coming up (CONFIRMED), and so is GH:5 (AKA World Tour 2?) (CONFIRMED).

Also, GH:Smash Hits is going to be the greatest game in the universe, as we will all finally be able to sing “Woahohoh” (Synth Death) on Through the Fire and Flames. Yes, we are all going to attempt to sing that part, and you know you’re going to try it.

However, RB:Beatles is going to outsell everything, even though the Beatles suck. Sorry, it’s just my opinion. However, Guitar Hero is my faves game, and I heart it.

However, however. Me gusta that word.

Bob | 4/18/2009, 11:16 am EST

This will be amazing…. After this there should be a guitar hero Queen. That would Too be amazing. My two favorite bands in plastic controllers that all you do is press buttons. Queen would battle beatles rock band too!

Xero | 4/20/2009, 10:06 am EST

I hope we don’t get fucked with Van Halen like we did with Aerosmith. Three of their biggest hits of recent years weren’t in the game. Ask anyone in their late 20s about the coolest three MTV videos of songs, and you will hear Crying, Amazing and Crazy. None of the “Big 3″ were in ANY game, let alone AEROSMITH’S OWN! So if Van Halen comes out without Dreams, Love Walks In, Right Now and a host of others that WERE very big hits, I will be BEYOND pissed. And that create-a-song option is too fucking hard man. I am NOT a composer, there should be a goddamned way to digitally enter songs from bands that HAVE GAMES OUT so you can play them all. I am waiting for them to fuck me when the game comes out, watch.

Xero | 4/20/2009, 10:15 am EST

Another thing…I officially sold my Rock Band drums and disc, the crappy guitar and mike because I hated playing the game so much. Only a couple songs I liked, and it sucks now that the Beatles are coming out on it. I am hoping eventually that the two brands will work together, but it will not happen. RB was okay because of the drums, but I don’t need all that. Quite happy with my guitar, thanks. So now I am committed to GH, and they will find a way to screw me on the games that come out, their choice of songs, whatever. It will happen, I am certain of it. There are some Europe songs that would be great, Asia, Boston, Chicago, etc. Basically any band that is the name of a place..lol VERY few love songs on the games so far, it’s all the heavier shit which is fine, but maybe they will come out with a ballad game or something. Anyone have the Monster Ballads CDs? Now THOSE would be fun to play. Another thing…I do pretty well in the tournaments that pop up in bars. Maybe they will start doing the tournaments again? If anyone knows about that or has a heads-up, holler back.

Kiss a holic | 4/28/2009, 1:48 pm EST

Seriously, how has KISS only been mentioned once? let alone the who or even a poison/motley crue one. The beatles are a little soft to follow up rockers like metallica. Great music to be sure but how hard is yellow submarine to play compared to Battery or love gun. its not even the same kinda idea, one is a mind trip and the other rocks your balls off.

Who is Van Halen? | 4/28/2009, 10:39 pm EST

I’ve never even heard of the Van Halen Band and I’ve been following every type of rock music since the mid 1970s. They must be some regional favorite or a One Hit Wonder or something. How many albums did they put out? Probably only one because I’ve never heard of them before.

Does anyone remember that band from about 20 years ago who had the dude with played those crazy-ass striped guitars? I think they were from LA or somewhere in Cali. They need to do a Guitar Hero with those guys. They smoked! I wish they were still around.

=v= | 5/1/2009, 8:51 am EST

When I was a boy, a young Dutch-born inventor, no less brilliant nor significant than the likes of Thomas Edison, reinvented not only the electric guitar itself, but also how to play it. When music from the first album was first heard, it was like the first light bulb being turned on. If you weren’t there, you’ll probably never get it – and while light bulbs are now extremely common, your ass had better not forget where they came from. My parents remember where they were and what they were doing when JFK was shot – I was making a fort under a bunk-bed when I first heard “Eruption”. He was the worlds first undesputed guitar hero. Van Halen very literally and single-handedly changed everything overnight and det the gold standard for everything rock-and-roll. Just ask anyone who has been in the music business for more than a week. Releasing Aerosmith, Metallica, or any other band’s version before Van Halen borders on insult. I play guitar. I hate Guitar Hero. I will buy this.

Mike | 5/2/2009, 11:08 am EST

VH: GH. Best Version of the game yet!

Anonymous | 5/4/2009, 9:23 am EST

To the dude that posted “Who Is Van Halen”….
are you friggen kidding me? you clearly havent been following any GOOD music since the 1970s. HOW do you not know about Van Halen? are you retarded?

Go crawl back under your rock you have been living under and keep listening to your crap music.

Van Halen is one of the best bands in history, and Eddie Van Halen changed the way guitar is played.
He is a guitar god

I hope that this game does come out and they dont make it a crap game like GH:Aerosmith was. I don’t even want to try Metallica, but I am stoked for GH:VH.

Anyone who disagrees about VH or EVH…kiss my ass and go play in traffic because the world does not need your incompetence.

Anonymous | 5/4/2009, 4:29 pm EST

hey dipshit, that dude with the striped guitar from LA was Eddie Van Halen. And they’re the farthest thing from a one hit wonder, basically every one of their albums has been at least certified platinum. FUCK YOU

Dark lord of Metal | 5/4/2009, 7:18 pm EST

50% of these guys were not born when VH started. i would even go to say 75%… study up on your music dudes… alot of you need it.
“\m/”

Dark lord of Metal | 5/4/2009, 7:21 pm EST

OH by the way…

Executives have spoken of it. Ratings Boards have classified it. And now the world’s largest games retailer is accepting preorders for it. Activision, it’s about time you announced Guitar Hero: Van Halen.

A GameStop employee has helpfully pointed us towards his overseer’s website, where you can throw some money down on the unannounced title right now. There are listings for 360, PS3, Wii and PS2 versions, while there’s also an awfully precise-looking release date of July 28 2009 in there as well.

While, as Van Halen fans, we’re not ones to look a gift horse in the mouth, the fact this thing is real is a little odd. No offence to Van Halen, but they’re not exactly in the same league – in terms of popularity and marketability – as Aerosmith and Metallica.

GnR fan | 5/9/2009, 9:10 pm EST

They should make guitar hero guns n roses. They have so many awesome songs w/ fun 2 play guitar solos. I would pwn them all on expert (seriously) and it would be awesome.
GH ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!! !!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This whole thing is sad. EVH just does not give a rip anymore. I dont blame him. When you see the average IQ of jhony Q american these days why not sell out and rape his pockets of cash. The dream is over kids. Its all about cheezy ipods, guitar hero, johnas brothers, all that crap. There are no more music inovators anymore. EVH is giving you the finger and laughing all the way to the bank.I wont buy it.

It’s ROCK BAND AND GUTIAR HERO YOU DUMB FUCKS!!!! ONE GAME IS MADE FOR THOSE WHO LIKE HEAVY GUTIAR RIFFS IN THIER SONGS THE OTHER IS FOR THOSE WHO LIKE THE OTHER PARTS OF SONGS. AND THE BANDS THAT THEY CHOSE WORKS FOR EACH ONE. VH IS AN AWESOME GROUP MOSTLY BECAUSE OF THE GUTIAR PLAYING IN THAT ONE (WHICH IS WHY IT HAS IT’S OWN GUTIAR HERO GAME). THE BEATLES ARE A BETTER MUSICAL GROUP SO THE HARMONIES AND, DRUMS AND EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST AS IMPORTANT (WHICH IS WHY THEY HAVE A ROCK BAND VERSION FOR THEM). OKAY PLEASE STOP IT WITH THE STUPIDITY. THEY’RE TWO DIFFERENT GAMES WITH TWO DIFFERENT MARKETS. SHESSH!!! MEN ARE SO FUCKING STUPID.

Dang, that escalated quickly…Internet fights can be fun to read. I think both of these games will be great, and agree with None Ya that it’s pretty stupid to fight about this. We all like our respective genres of rock, but we should still respect all rock music as a whole.

Van Halen was as big as the Beatles and for twice as long. The Beatles ruled the 60’s but Van Halen ruled the 80’s and 90’s.

And nobody ever claimed there was a truly great guitarist in the Beatles. Eddie Van Halen is without a doubt one of if not the greatest guitar player ever.

I am a fan of a lot of Rock bands, but Van Halen, in my opinion, is the best Rock band ever. There music is pure energy. No stories to tell, just pure energy. It totally makes sense that Guitar Hero will feature one of the best (if not the best) guitar players. Can’t wait to purchase it!

i agree reading these post fights are entertaining

rock on VH, yes humans being, unchained and means streets would be great even 5150 (that solo would be awesome to play)

Metallica doesnt suck they are the founding fathers, the pioneers of metal

i agree these arguments are entertaining

VH rocks one of best bands EVER
EVH one of greatest guitarists EVER
Humans being, meanstreets, unchained, even 5150 would all kick ass to play

and Metallica is also one of greatest bands ever they are the founding fathers, the pioneers for todays metal bands

Obviously, Iowa still has 45’s and listens to them on his turntable, he doesn’t play Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero Metallica rocks! Let’s see, would you rather play One or I wanna hold your hand? Van Halen will kick a$$ as well. Beatles are great to listen to, but not even close to jammin on guitar with Metallica or Van Halen. Come out of the corn fields Iowa!

we approached van halen before we approached the others. as it turns out they said at a later date so we left it. we then decided to go for aerosmith and metallica then van halen. our next target is seemingly iron maiden but because rockband hold the rights to some of there songs its going to be harder than expected. thanks .
