i love & respect the Beatles but this is going to ultimately fail. guitar hero’s exclusive aerosmith and metallica discs failed because it limited the experience & just added more discs & instruments to the already excessed catalog.

they should have just released Beatles songs as album packs/tracks that could be purchased and added to the existing Rock Band set list. especially if they want to reach a wider audience.

what will happen is hardcore Beatle fans will buy the disc & maybe even the instrument package, but for those who already have RB or GH, they’re just going to pass this by. it’s a shame because they would actually make more $$$ by charging $1.99/track or $9.99/album on Rock Band because a wider audience would be more willing to do that instead of plunking down $59 for “The Beatles Game Experience” that doesn’t sound as great to the general public.

I hope this game lives up to the expectations that most have for it. Gotta agree with Zeppelin, a Zeppelin Rock Band/Guitar Hero would be great, but Robert Plant is pretty tight with allowing anyone to use Zep’s music so I dont think its going to happen anytime soon.

Ok so obviously Rock Band Is pioneering the classics with this one, just like they pioneered the drum set. Guitar Hero is just a step behind, its too bad because they were in the industry first, Im a huge beatles fan and i can’t believe this is happening, A band with their reputation is only gonna tip the balance more towards Rock Band. Its the progression that makes Rock Band better, the beatles haven’t had a single song in a guitar hero or rockband game before, so this is groundbreaking stuff. How many Metallica songs have been in both rockband and guitar hero? now add the dlc to that….and now theres a Metallica guitar hero game? pretty much more of the same stuff. This game is going to make history with one of the greatest bands ever. It will sell very well and there are generations of fans up to today and so many classic songs will be featured on here. Im not sure which songs will be included but ill have to say probrably “Come Together”, “Let It Be”, “Helter Skelter”, “Revolution”
& “Taxman” would be included. But i like to see songs such as “A Day In The Life” & “I Am The Walrus” in the game but im not sure how that can be played. It will be songs that will included alot of guitar playing and drums.

I know the Beatles are pretty much the founders of rock and roll, but there’s a million bands that have more fans than them. They should have started with a band like Van Halen (even though a couple days after the announcement of The Beatles: Rock Band, Guitar Hero came out with GH:VH) Van Halen just has more publicity and more people know their songs. You have to actually get into the Beatles to appreciate them. This is still going to be a great game though.

I guess it is testimony to the Liverpudian quartet that the bar they set was so awesomely high that fans of the bands that followed, sometimes 30-40 years after the Beatles broke up, like to be compared to the them even to this day.
