Performing a Britney Spears concert would be the easiest job in the world…
travel to all sorts of cities, and just dance on stage a little bit and strut, get lots of attention, pretend to sing…and then turn your mic on for one song and give an atonal mess of a live performance that the audience doesn’t really care about the quality of as long as you look pretty because they’re a bunch of shallow sheep.

So déjà-vu…can’t dance, can’t sing and the outfits are not flattering. Britney Spears is an illusion in itself, if it wasn’t for the low IQ and bad taste of her hardcore fans she would be gone a long time ago.

She can’t even sing live. What a joke. This isn’t music — it’s a damn sideshow.

Britney concerts are just really fun to go to. Its a great show for people who need to get away and just have fun. Its just like the author said, “flying escapism to lose themselves in, too”. Thats exactly what a Britney concert does. It’s just a whole lot of fun!

I went to Britney’s concert last night and she was awesome!!! She danced great and looked amazing. The only thing I was disappointed about was that she did not talk the crowd at all until she was said bye.

I think People Magazine gave the most honest review of this concert. Go read it. She mimed the entire concert including ballads and barely danced. Alot of riding on props and strutting the stage. Very disappointing. And yes, I was there.

I would like all you people putting Britney down to do what she does in a concert and try to sing live. Its not as easy as it looks. Don’t talk down about it until you’ve actually tried it. I do agree that the dancing/choreography could have been much better but it was a good show *( yes I was there last night )* none the less.

I am so excited reading these reviews! I live in Texas and I am a mom of two teen girls. We will see the show in Houston. I will say that I am very impressed with how Britney has come a long way. Everyone who is quick to judge her needs to understand that her upbringing was fast and not good because of bad parenting. we have been a fan of Britney since she was 16 and my girls grew up with her. She looks awesome and has proved that she can turn things around! Go For It Britney! You are beautiful and deserve all the fame. You have worked hard and good things come to those who wait!

I don’t care how much skin she shows and how much she wiggles her ass, she’s a singer! She’s supposed to sing. Miming through an entire concert that her fans have pay tickets to see is an insult.

P.S. It is possible to dance and actually sing in a concert. Four letters for you P-I-N-K. Her concerts are always amazing and she even sings upside down hanging 20 metres above the crowd. Britney’s pathetic.

Britney is the best dancer and the best performer in all existence. She sang in the circus tour but with playback on. She danced like a goddess for two solid hours and sang.Even her haters know that she is the best.

She is the most gifted dancer I have ever seen. Singing is one form of talent,dancing is another form of talent. There are n number of live shows where I have seen Britney singing extremely well. But in a comeback show she had to choose between singing and dancing. SHE OBVIOUSLY CHOSE DANCING,THAT’S HER BEST PART AND SHE DOES THAT EXTREMELY WELL.

There are two types of artists who tour: Those you go to see for the ’show’ and those you go to see for their musical ability. Occasionally they overlap but, overall, you get one or the other. Britney is far from being the most talented singer on the planet; she’s a showgirl and you’ll only end up disappointed if you go expecting an earth-shattering vocal performance from her. In my own experience she doesn’t put on that great a show either. You’d be better off saving your money for an act worth the extortionate ticket fee!

So everyone that hates the fact that Britney has a huge following and people love her can suck it!! She isn’t in too form yet I won’t say that she is fully back until she gives a 2000 or 2001 vma qualty performance. Granted I have not seen the show yet (Sunday night will change that) the fact that she is even attempting a comeback is amazing! I’ve seen her live, she’s not as good a singer as I was expecting I’m sorry to say. I was a huge Britney fan at the time too. I admire her for coming out the other side of her dark period but just because I empathise doesn’t mean I think she’s back at the top of her game.

I doubt she’ll ever be the performer she was when she started out and all the money that her record company can throw at the PR and spin of it all isn’t going to make her any better at performing – that has to come from her.

Then I guess so much has changed since she started out. Back in the late 90s pop stars usually had some talent to make it, now all you need is some skinny jeans, big sunglasses and to start a fight in the gossip magazines with another wannabe and you’re a “star”.

I went to the show opening night and was blown away. It’s extremely entertaining and very much a visual feast. This tour is going to be a big hit with both fans and critics. Welcome back, Britney.

I just wonder sometimes if it completely necessary for Britney Spears to constantly be dressing in skimpy outfits. I understand sex sells, but her audience is tons of girls, I doubt they care if she running around in a sequined outfit with titty tassels or a leotard. Pink Funhouse Tour and Britney’s Circus Tour at the same time is the best thing ever, why? Everyone has access to youtube and when you see their performance side by side …Pink wins hands down. She sings live, dance, flip in the air, make the audience laugh, cry and jump for joy, looks great, commanding stage presence. We need to start a petition to bring Pink back home. I saw her cover of Bohemian Rhapsody on youtube and it was flawless

Went to the ATL show last night…she totally owned the stage (all 3 of them) She was completely overwhelmed by the crowd and although she is out of practice she did a great job. Yes she lip syncs most of the time, and yes her dance moves weren’t as great as they used to be. BUT she kept the entire audience fully entertained the whole time and she’s definitely still got it. If you haven’t got anything nice to say then don’t say it at all. Those of you that are going to a show you’ll have a great time, I agree that she will get even better in time as she does more dates too. Go Britney, we love u!

I went to the Atlanta show last night and was absolutely blown away. Did she lip sing, yes, did it really matter … NO!!! For all the dancing that girl does – I wouldn’t want her to sing. Britney was so humbled when she spoke to the crowd and they did not stop screaming … her face showed it. She is on her way back. That show was the best show I’ve ever seen.

It is undeniable that she doesn’t dance anyway like she used to. Compare old videos with the one of the circus tour. The difference is unbelievable. Anyone agree?

Britney is a performer. She isn’t the most talented singer, but she puts on a show. She commands the stage and cranks out hits like nobody’s business. My mom cannot stand Britney Spears, (She’s more of a die-hard U2 fan, which I can’t blame her for) however when a Britney song comes on in the car (mainly Womanizer) she is always singing along. She can’t believe she does it. Britney makes hits and if you love them or hate them, you still know them.
I will be in attendance at the final US leg of the tour. Hopefully by then Britney will be singing more instead of using a backtrack. Welcome back Britney… you’ve come a long way, but still have miles to go.

There is not anything wrong with Britney’s concerts. Quit giving RS chit about it. Some people love what she does and it doesn’t make them any less muscially intelligent. Britney is not a singer/songwriter she is a performer and public spectacle and she does not claim to be mozart so get over it. As long as people love her and she employs so many people I’d rather not hear your definition of what entertainment should be because that’s up for me to decide not you. hmmf!

Isn’t it amazing that at 50 Madonna still puts on a way better show, dances and sings live? Saying Britney needs to lip sync the entire thing so she can ”dance” is bullshit, Madonna and Janet Jackson (some of the time) can sing live, Britney should be albe to also.

madonna is amazing but she does not sing live! Why do you think she and Elton John got into a big fight after he called her out publiclly about her lip synching after she won best live performance. He and many others were pissed that a lip syncher could be considered live and i don’t blame him.

if you can’t accept Britney for who she is, then that is the #1 problem. She is not a good singer and never walks around town claiming she is! She has a cute voice and can sing OK… she is a performer! She is an incredible dancer and ENTERTAINER! She has also been through more crap in the past years to send anybody to the mental house. She is performing in front of everyone, knowing in the back of her mind that people are always criticizing her …. a true DIE HARD FAN will accept her through good, bad, and ugly, you try performing in front of hundreds of people when the spotlights on you, love to see the average joe try!

I guess it depends if you want to see a real singer like Kelly Clarkson who i love or a performer who can dance but not sing. She is a great performer and I do like her music.

Why are people so negative when it comes to Britney Spears? I went to her show in Atlanta this past weekend and it was SPECTACULAR! She gives a performance that rivals Janet and Madonna (been to both) and thats why she sells more records. Why can’t people respect that she has busted her ass on broadway and sang live to get a record deal! She is a performer. I don’t buy her albums to say “o is she hitting that note correctly?” NO THATS RIDICULOUS! I buy her albums to dance and sing in the car and cheer up my day as do millions of people thats why she is number one. She is absolutely charming from her dancing, to her facial expressions. The audience at the Atlanta show was amazing by her performance. Listen, music is about emotions. You listen to your favorite artist to change your mood or stabilize a good one. If Britney can do that effectively through the whole brit machine what is wrong with that? She makes people happy!!! I grew up horribly depressed (much better now) and Britney concerts are some of my greatest memories along with just singing to her records. She is an amazing talent and is selling out arenas all around the world. If she was talentless she wouldn’t have more number one’s than all of your favorite artists so all i have to say is if don’t like her music….suck it and don’t waste your time blogging about it…b/c whats sadder than hating britney spears is griping about how much you hate her on blogs. get over it!

Damn, the DC Show sucked. Get the clowns off the freakin’ stage already. Clothing changes took too long, and while i didn;t expect Britney to sing, I did expect her to dance her ass off, which she did NOT. For someone who professes to be a huge fan of Janet Jackson and Madonna, Britney barely danced, and spent most of her time walking around and posing, then dropping down some stupid hatch door. Perez was brilliant, but a let down after that.

She keeps on lip-synch all the time… I really can’t see what’s the fun of paying (in this case, paying a lot) to see your favorite singer DO NOT sing.. I still prefer P!nk who has a wonderful voice and does not lip-synch… Oh yeah, and she also makes some acrobatic and amazing stuff…

I never saw the shows (although I wanted to SO much!) but Britney is an AMAZING performer and on the True Hollywood Story she even said so herself that she’s not that great at singing — but she loves the feeling it gives her. She obviously started out a great singer, so if she is lip-synching, who cares? Let her be, and all of you haters out there are just jealous because she is more talented then you’ll EVER be!!!

It is so painfully obvious that she lipsyncs a large majority of the tour, if not ALL of it in some shows. I saw Brit in NYC last night. Yes I was disappointed she didn’t sing live but I can understand why.. She would have been completely out of breath. As a whole the show was exciting and went by fast! I just wish her mike was at least on! Not once did she chime in and sing not even a word. It would have been cool if she did. I still love her though. She looked good and her performers were unreal!

Didn’t sing and danced poorly. Could’ve made up for it by saying more than a sentence to the crowd. Listening to many young fans after the show, most were disappointed. Britney is cashing in big time. Save your money! Seriously average. I went for free and wouldn’t go again if someone paid me.
