- Following this weekend’s Chris Brown apology, Jay-Z has spoken out about the Rihanna altercation. “You have to have compassion for others. Just imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should talk about that,” Jay-Z told Hollyscoop. While he wouldn’t comment on Brown, he did say of Rihanna, “I just think we should all support her. She’s going through a tough time. She’s very young.”
- M.I.A. gave birth to a baby boy on February 11th, the Kala rapper revealed on her MySpace blog. “He is healthy, fine, beautiful and the most amzing [sic] thing ever on this planet,” the enthusiastic new mother told fans. M.I.A. also writes that her early stage labor kicked in after her performance at Grammys on February 8th.
- Yes have canceled the opening dates of their In the Present Tour, citing “unforeseen medical reasons” according to YesWorld. The tour is expected to resume with a February 25th show in Phoenix, Arizona. This jaunt is without singer Jon Anderson, who has expressed disappointment that the prog-rockers are touring while he recovers from his own medical problems.
