Axl Rose Gives First “Chinese Democracy” Interview, Says He’ll Never Reunite With Slash

Axl Rose has finally given his first official Chinese Democracy interview, answering Billboard’s questions via e-mail about Guns n’ Roses‘ new album, the Best Buy deal, touring and why he’ll never perform with Slash again. While Rose had recently responded to fan questions during several message board chats, the new Q&A is Rose’s first substantial print feature in nine years.

Rose doesn’t blame Best Buy’s exclusive deal for Chinese Democracy’s unexpectedly low sales, but points the finger at his labels, Interscope and Universal Music. “Unfortunately I have no information for me to believe [that] there was any real involvement or effort from Interscope,” Rose told Billboard. “I do know [that] I’ve been asking for a marketing plan for over five years and still haven’t got anything.”

Axl also addressed rumors that Gn’R has two more albums already finished. “We’d like to get another album out at some point, but for now our focus is on Chinese,” Rose said. Also, where’s that “Better” video? “We’re finalizing a video for ‘Better’ and writing a couple others now,” Rose said. “We have been discouraged from making a video all along by Interscope, up until Best Buy requested one after the release.” So blame Interscope, not Lars Ulrich.

Rose also said that Chinese Democracy will be heading to Rock Band on February 28th, but MTV Games told Billboard the release date has been shifted to the spring. Regarding a possible tour, Axl said, “No plans, but there’s talk. Management and our promoters are really excited with the offers coming in both here and worldwide.”

While Rose admitted he’d be open to working with former Guns Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan, don’t expect a reunion with Slash anytime soon — or ever. “In regards to Slash, I read a desperate fan’s message about, what if one of us were to die and looking back I had the possibility of a reunion now, blah blah blah. And my thoughts are, ‘Yeah, and while you’re at the show your baby accidentally kicks a candle and burns your house down, killing himself and the rest of your family,’ ” Rose said. “Give me a fucking break. What’s clear is that one of the two of us will die before a reunion and however sad, ugly or unfortunate anyone views it, it is how it is. Those decisions were made a long time ago and reiterated year after year by one man.”

Put the violin down Axl, it must be worn beyond repair. Try doing something a little more constructive, didnt you just release an album or something? Shouldnt you be putting some effort into that?

Raulinc | 2/6/2009, 9:51 am EST

Thanks Axl the more apperances the better! cheers.

wendy | 2/6/2009, 11:00 am EST

axl rose is great at what he does i love the new album and is a wonderfull person i support him all the way and wish him the best.

Anonymous | 2/6/2009, 11:10 am EST

Hey Axl. Please kiss and make up with Slash, get the original band back together, record a new album with them, do a two year reunion tour that goes everywhere and conquor the world!

Axl is a baby! | 2/6/2009, 11:15 am EST

Whine, whine, whine…! I am so sick of him pointing the finger at Slash. It is pathetic and GNR should regroup for a reunion before one of them is gone. If he does see the importance in buring the hatchet then he has not grown one bit as a person.

Edinfang | 2/6/2009, 11:15 am EST

reuniting with Izzy and Duff would be great. i loved the new album but I would love something like use your illusion or appetite for destruction… but every guns N’ roses album is unique

GNR Fan | 2/6/2009, 11:15 am EST

Happy Birthday Axl!

Jeff | 2/6/2009, 11:15 am EST

MONUMENTAL PROMOTION STARTS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!11!

Good interview but when he tries to sound eloquent it often reads in a scattered/nonsensical word salad fashion.

Slash | 2/6/2009, 11:18 am EST

Axl please take me back !!!

Tino | 2/6/2009, 11:31 am EST

While I don’t think Slash is completely blameless, Axl needs to get off his high horse. New GN’R just isn’t a functioning band, no matter what he thinks. When the incentives to a reunion (aka $$$) become even more clear to him, whenever that may be, hopefully he’ll change his tune.

The Voodoo | 2/6/2009, 11:32 am EST

Slash and Axl need a little patience? We’ll they had close to 13 years apart. Slash and Axl need Therapy and a financial analyst. Once the money runs out then we’ll see a reunion. Until then the games will continue. Money is the root of all evil.

SHAP | 2/6/2009, 11:45 am EST

Man, this guy has lost it…you figure he’d be open to reuniting with ALL the boys after he released what was an embarrassment of an album (commercially AND artistically). Chinese Democracy is far and away the worst record of 2008…and I truly wanted to like it when I bought it.

Denny's | 2/6/2009, 11:48 am EST

Axl doesnt need to put effort into the album once its released. It stands as a great album on its own. I’m sure his lack of brownnosing and asskissing hurts album sales, but it really is the record company’s responsibility to promote it. He’s right on with that one.

elSCORCHO | 2/6/2009, 11:52 am EST

Of course the record label is not gonna give him a Marketing Plan after this guy spent millions on making the record. c’mon!.

Its simple, people dont care anymore, that’s why the album bombed. Axl is a dumbass

Music lover | 2/6/2009, 12:07 pm EST

Who cares if Slash and Axl reunite…Slash has a great band and Axl is a pain in the ass who’s talent is questionable…Listen to what Slash is doing then ask yourself why would you want to reunite 2 people who are better off apart.
Move on people, they have.

rockballs | 2/6/2009, 12:27 pm EST

axl let me give you a friggin’ clue.
gnr without slash and his distinctive sound that gave gnr their distinctive TRADEMARK SOUND is not gnr without slash.
so you can keep on crying like a big BABY but not many people will care about your excuses for your CRAPPY SALES!
you hear what i’m sayin’ mr.rosey palms?
gnr is no longer! and now it can only be the axl rose band no matter how many times you put gnr on the cover.
it’s not gnr and very rarely does a solo act do well on their own.
got it buddy?
chinise democracy is not gnr!
so maybe you can eat that fried up rpide and get together with all of your bandmates and make GREAT MUSIC like you did on appetite.
that album is incredible and will still ROCK LIKE A MUTHAf###er!

Axl | 2/6/2009, 12:30 pm EST

I miss Slash…

What? | 2/6/2009, 12:51 pm EST

Slash has a great band??? Did he join U2???

Ryan | 2/6/2009, 12:55 pm EST

Axl= Kicks Ass

He doesn’t need Slash.

HisPrinceMichael | 2/6/2009, 12:57 pm EST

Axl, bro, hear me out:
As a member of Guns n’ Roses, you led, INARGUABLY, the MOST vital,
innovative, and creative AMERICAN
rock band in the last thirty-years.
When THE band broke-up, the door was left-open wide, for the bogus-a** FAD called “Grunge”. THAT, bro,
is IMPACT. Anyway, you OWE IT to
all the cool people that influenced
YOU as an artist, and to the everyday people WORLDWIDE who BELIEVED in YOUR work, to put the differences/ego-trips/hang-ups /insecurites aside and get THE
band, back together. Van Halen did, Zeppelin (for a good cause) did, and Pink Floyd (also for a good cause)did. Bro, do the right thing: FOR THE PEOPLE.

Scott Wieland | 2/6/2009, 1:01 pm EST

Are we sure Slash isn’t the problem?

Tyson | 2/6/2009, 1:02 pm EST

I’m happy that Axl has finally spoken. Hopefully they can get a video out and do some more mainstream press, because ‘Chinese Democracy’ is a GREAT album and Axl is a timeless talent.

Steve | 2/6/2009, 1:09 pm EST

Move on then Axl. But first maybe you should call Slash and arrange to swap band names since Slash, Duff and Matt are more deserving of the name Guns N Roses than yourself. You can take the Velvet Revolver name or you can call your band Axl Rose and The Revolvers, which is suitable considering how many band members will either quit or be given the boot due to your shenanigans.

Bob Rock | 2/6/2009, 1:11 pm EST

hey Axl, do you need a producer? engineer? someone to get you coffee?

NYC Nate | 2/6/2009, 1:18 pm EST

How Spinal Tap…

“Me and Slash shan’t work together again.”

TheCoz | 2/6/2009, 1:19 pm EST

Just play Welcome to the Jungle and shut the F up.

Give me a bowl of milk and.... | 2/6/2009, 1:41 pm EST

a box of Alphabits and I’ll crap better lyrics that this fool can write. Axl is an official graduate of the Tool Academy!

Carlito | 2/6/2009, 1:47 pm EST

I have grown up with gnr playing, i love appetite and illusion as much as anyone but u cant say chi dem isnt amazing, it fuckin rocks!!!!! You idiots that are used to listenin to really heavy metal dnt have an ear for good music, chi dem may be softer than old gnr songs but it still rocks, with all your bitchin id like to see you produce an album as good as that!!!! i would love a reunion of GNR bt i dnt think its ever gna happen. Axl Rocks!!!!!

HisPrinceMichael | 2/6/2009, 1:52 pm EST

P.S. Bro, LOSE Interscope/Universal
IMMEDIAT ELY, those Bozo’s are NOTHING but SHYSTY. The only good
music they know, is the stuff they rip-off.

basser | 2/6/2009, 1:52 pm EST

Bands always say “never” yet have reuninted, in some form or fashion.

The Who
The Police
Led Zeppelin
David Bowie said he was going to quit touring back as early as 1974 … and other times since ….

I love these bands, but never believe a musician who says “never” to a possible reuion tour and/or recording.

Maybe Interscope and Universal got tired of waiting ions for a new Guns N Roses record. Axl waited too late. Had the record come out in the late 1990s, it might have gottne more media/publicity push, and more people would have bought it. The same for the wonderful Who. “Endless Wire” came out on Halloween in 2006, and although it sold well (it debuted at No. 7 or No. 8 on Billboard), it didn’t sell like it would have sold had it been released after 1982’s “It’s Hard,” back when The Who were selling a lot of LPs (even with Kenney Jones on drums)

AG | 2/6/2009, 2:03 pm EST

So when Slash bashed Axl over and over again when Velvet Revolver was starting, lied, and later admitted to lying (i.e. about his trip to Axl’s house), why didn’t you bash him? But when Axl says something bad about Slash then it’s automatically a lie and he’s an asshole? Hmmm that really doesn’t make sense. Slash promoted VR and his older solo stuff through bashing Axl through the press. And oh by the way, didn’t Scott Weiland just come out and say that he believes Slash to be the problem, no longer Axl? All I have to say is get off Axl’s back.

Jeff | 2/6/2009, 2:04 pm EST

Look, I love Slash and always will but can you honestly say with a straight face that he’s made any quality work since ‘Use Your Illusion’?

Axl clearly is and was the drive, ambition, and brains behing GN’R. Slash by himself is Slash’s Snakepit and that’s not a good thing.

V | 2/6/2009, 2:09 pm EST

I love listening to hard rock/ heavy metal music and Chinese Democracy isn’t it!

Indian fan | 2/6/2009, 2:10 pm EST

I’ve been a hardcore Guns fan as long as I can remember…I mean, H-A-R-D C-O-R-E. Even I gotta say, that no one cares anymore about Axl. Not unless he finds a way to get together with the boys. That trademark throat-cutting scream coupled with the hard rocking blues and that sliding bass was what made Guns. Not that mish-mash of some really interesting but overall uncohesive songs which was Chinese Democracy.

nietzsche | 2/6/2009, 2:18 pm EST

Incredible, axl you play some love songs. How you can hate so much.

Jeff | 2/6/2009, 2:23 pm EST

Ask David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen about the meaning of the word “never”

Puhleeze | 2/6/2009, 2:46 pm EST

G n’ R was/is one of the MOST OVERRATED bands of all time…give it up already…them not being around is not a loss to the music world and Axl Rose is a victim of buying into his own hype…i can (as well as anybody with a brain) name a thousand “mid-level” bands that blew “guns” away when they were in their “prime”..

Chinese Democracy - Best Album | 2/6/2009, 3:45 pm EST

Best Album in a looooonnnnng time! (With an equal nod to Metallica)

Axl is the Rock and Roll Maestro!

Glad to hear he is working to finally bury the whinings of some of the Slash fans. Guns N Roses will be superb with Axl at the helm, and Chinese Democracy is a testament to that.

Superior voice, instrumentation, and diversity. I love it!

Keep up the great work Axl and GNR!

surforia | 2/6/2009, 3:47 pm EST

GnR was in no way, shape, or form overrated… They were the love bastard of led zepplin and the sex pistols and one of the most influential American Rock n’ Roll bands of the last four decades. Moreover, Appetite for Destruction was the perfect blend of metal and punk. Chinese Democracy is a brilliant album, as well. Both Axl and Slash are immensely talented, yet troubled people. A reconciliation would be huge. Certain people were destined to play music together: Lennon/McCartney, Townshend/Daltry, Page/Plant, Waters/Gilmore, Strummer/Jones, Jagger/Richards, Jack/Meg, Tyler/Perry. Let’s face it, Axl/Slash were meant to play together – their destinies will be forever entangled. Axl believes in reincarnation and resolving issues in past lives. It should be obvious to him that his conflict with Slash is, and forever will be, the defining conflict in his life. This conflict needs to be resolved, and this is coming from someone that loves Chinese Democracy and saw the new band four times in 2006.

Respectfulboy111 | 2/6/2009, 3:51 pm EST

aha Rockballs you actually think Slash has a distinctive sound he sounds like just about every other 3 chord metal head people just like him because of his tatoos and hat and stuff Axl is by no means a great guy but Slash is overrated and people just take his side and blame it all on Axl if you want to continue arguing with me I will be on the 100 greatest guitarists list.

BIGROB | 2/6/2009, 3:52 pm EST

Chinese Democracy is a Masterpiece, those that diss it haven’t even heard the album. I dare any of today’s artist try and go head to head with Axl singing, Mr.Rose destroys them all! Scraped-Who can hit the notes like that ? But then again we live in a era that that Kanye-Jayz-Lil Wayne are considered real musicians ?

Respectfulboy111 | 2/6/2009, 3:57 pm EST

Surforia Slash is troubled come on he has money coming out of his ass he just needs to pose for guitar hero and kids idolise him and he gets payed big bucks and yeah Axl does have some problems and I wouldnt mind seeing him with Duff and Izzy but how can you be so naive to say Slashis troubled and dont even compare Axl/Slash to all those great co writers like Lennon McCartney and Tyler Perry and Townshend and Daltrey and Jagger Richards and such. Again will be on 100 greatest guitarist list if necessary. bye

Never Axl's fault | 2/6/2009, 4:01 pm EST

Oh Axl, it’s never your fault. Always somebody else.
That’s why it took all those musicians to finish your new album. How many did you fire and hire tough guy?
What a band….

Scrooge | 2/6/2009, 4:06 pm EST

Chinese Democracy is so over produced I thought I was listening to Meatloaf.

Michael | 2/6/2009, 4:07 pm EST

Chinese Democracy rocks!

jacky | 2/6/2009, 4:08 pm EST

keep doing the chats Axl feel proud of chinese democracy you`ve made an album velvet revolver could only dream of (now lets have a tv interview or radio to do some decent promotion)

surforia | 2/6/2009, 4:20 pm EST

Respectfulboy111, I love Slash, but in 2006, he was crushing up oxycotton and injecting it. Not sure what your definition of “troubled” is, but to me, that qualifies.

Whatever guy | 2/6/2009, 4:26 pm EST

I’m not a huge GnR fan but I’m not sure why people get so worked up about him? Why does he make so many music fans mad. Calm down everybody. We still have Oasis.

Pennis Anyone? | 2/6/2009, 4:35 pm EST

Axl is a fiercely intelligent songwriter who was never destined to be a flamboyant over-the-top frontman of a band. Axl and Slash were what they were, but Axl has outgrown that. Whatever his issues are, it obviously pains Axl to do publicity and interviews. Doesnt matter one bit to me. CD is a great record with not one filler song on it. Velvet Revolver churned out some horrible stuff on Libertad.

HisPrinceMichael | 2/6/2009, 4:54 pm EST

Surforia…you were almost right on the money with your first post..it’s beyond Axl, Slash, Duff, and Matt:
It’s one of THE greatest ROCK bands
EVER…..GUNS N’ ROSES!
And, I’m not even their biggest fan,
but truth, is Truth.

sirloin | 2/6/2009, 5:50 pm EST

Oprah should invite Axl on her show have Slash step out from behind a curtain with Izzy and Duff waiting on stage ready to launch into Shacklers’ Revenge.

AxlGnrFans | 2/6/2009, 5:51 pm EST

nananananananananana nanananananananana nananananana! not like you and unlike me…and then the voices went away…..

Axl thanks for the interview. Opinions are like (some) assholes (here) everybody has one. Our (asshole) opinion is that it’s good to hear from him. Happy birthday Axl !! To everyone from Guns N Roses have a great year and never give !! album is great !!

Puhleeze | 2/6/2009, 5:58 pm EST

QUOTE: the love bastard of led zepplin and the sex pistols and one of the most influential American Rock n’ Roll bands of the last four decades

HUH?

hell…Social Distortion blows Guns & Roses away…what/who did Guns influence? Guns influence is about as wide spread as Boston’s influence…1 good album and then NOTHING!

and to put guns in the same SENTENCE with zeppelin is blasphemy…get a grip.

Anonymous | 2/6/2009, 6:18 pm EST

“and to put guns in the same SENTENCE with zeppelin is blasphemy…get a grip. ”

At least Guns didn’t steal half their catalog from other artists and not pay them royalties for it.

As for who GNR have influenced…are you kidding me. Some of the most popular bands of the last ten years have cited them as a huge influence…Fallout Boy, Linkin Park, Sum 41, The Strokes. Regardless of whether you like these bands or think they suck is irrelevant. Don’t even get me started on all the horrible bands Nirvana spawned.

surforia | 2/6/2009, 6:29 pm EST

Hey Puhleeze, just b/c YOU don’t like them doesn’t mean they weren’t hugely influential… Wake up! I like Social D, but ‘You Could Be Mine’ is better than anything in their entire catalogue. And if you don’t think Slash influenced thousands of guitar players, then you’re the one who is completely delusional.

Anonymous | 2/6/2009, 6:39 pm EST

“At least Guns didn’t steal half their catalog from other artists and not pay them royalties for it.”

Thanks for proving the point…at least you admit they aren’t in the same class as zeppelin…

Puhleeze | 2/6/2009, 6:44 pm EST

I never said I didn’t like slash…he’s a hell of a guitar player…I’ve been playing for over 30 years and i don’t suck…as a matter of fact I saw Guns open for the STONES at the LA Collisseum back in the day…they rocked…put on a hell of a show…but what did/have they done since Appetite? Use your Illusion bit…you REALLY like “September Rain”?!?? and after that zilch, nada, nothing…like I said…they’re like Boston…trying to make a career off of 1 album…it’s not even GUNS anymore…it’s the Axl Rose band…didn’t say I didn’t “like” them…just saying they are waaaaay overrated…

and “Mommy’s Little Monster” blows away “You could be Mine”…not even close.

Come on guys! Lay off of Axl! A re-union seems unlikely but let’s just enjoy what we have now. It may not be much but it’s something. Beggars can’t be choosers.

By the way, Happy Birthday Axl!!! Keep on Rockin’!!!

Appetite for Illusions | 2/6/2009, 8:27 pm EST

First off i love Chinese Democracy, it’s one of the best Cds of last year. And I love me some Velvet Revolver, but I think you just lock them in a room together until they fight it out and become cool again. They will forever be married together in history

Axl way more important than... | 2/7/2009, 4:35 am EST

…slash. Chinese democracys worst song I’d better than anything slash has put out sans axl. And slash wrote the most boring rock biography of all time…
Axl is a true figure of maniacal angst. Fuck cobain and all those other chumps. He is also a better singer than Robert plant ever was. He is a true living breathing rock n roll madman and between chris martins prancing and bonos world saving I will tale axl’s raging ego any day. And that guy who had a lost of bands more important than gnr and included nirvana?
Soundgarden? Sure thing.

And social distortion are barely a footnote in the ANALS of music to that other guy

dreamgirl | 2/7/2009, 7:26 am EST

slash is a sellout he`d do anything for the $$$ £££ even reunite with Axl after all the crap he talks about how hard it was to work with axl, Axl would rather die than work with him again he`s got principles chinese democracy ROCKS

hope these videos in the writing stages, upcoming tour and rock band download help the record sales. this album is awesome it deserves to be #1!!

matt | 2/7/2009, 9:27 am EST

G-n-R have 1 good album, their 1st, the EP was ok. the use your illusions we4re average, to bad(november rain) slash is an asshole, but Axel is a bigger asshole. Axel is a below average singer who’s a drama queen. Why anyone would pay to got see axel in concert escapes me. He gets his period and screws everyone, Mostly the fans who spent their money on GnR albums and tkts.

Jason Newsted said it besy about the most over rated band ever.”we toured with GnR, and learned what NOT to do.”

rockballs | 2/7/2009, 10:39 am EST

respectfulboy:
slash clearly has a distinct and completely unique tone that is all his own.
that sound gave gnr their sound along with axl’s unique voice though axl’s voice is clearly influenced by nazareth.
as far as being overrated well yes i will agree on that but gnr was not about a single member but more about the powerful chemistry that these guys had when they came TOGETHER.
you want a great guitarist then go listen to jeff beck.
still appetite and when i mean appetite i mean the underplayed songs like my michelle, it’s so easy, rocket queen etc rock as hard as they did back in 88 and will rock 100 years from now.
but i must repeat gnr without their key parts is not gnr.
gnr is over and axl will only go so far.

AXL IS THE MAN!

loose cannon | 2/7/2009, 12:10 pm EST

Would you people stop comparing bands and making list of the so called best. You’re boring me. As far as Axl goes, Chinese Democracy has not moved me, but overall he is a good guy. I liked Guns and Roses when they were first out in the late 80’s.

Marc | 2/7/2009, 12:36 pm EST

This interview has little credability because it’s just a bunch of questions sent via email to Axl for him to pick and choose what he wanted to answer, and how he wanted to phrase it. He just uses a bunch of jargon to answer most of these questions.
He’s so defensive and takes no blame for anything for himself at all. I mean, the way he responds to the innocent and completely valid question “What took 13 years to make this album?” Thirteen fucking years, and he acts like billboard let an obnoxious fart in the room.
Axl claims the album art wasn’t really finalized and that they’re working on something different…I mean, jesus, you had 13 fucking years to kinda figure that sorta thing out…to claim you were rushed or forced to choose or go he with something you were unsatisfied with is absurd.
This whole release of Chinese Democracy stinks of something rotten. Best Buy and Interscope certainly didn’t do their parts. But, Axl should know, the best marketing tool is the recording artist themselves. Where was the in depth Rolling Stone article about the making of an album 13 years in the making, a REAL face to face interview where Axl doesn’t pre-screen the questions to eliminate the real hard hitting ones (an explanation of the show in Philly where he never showed up might be nice)….where is the Saturday Night Live, and Late Night talk show appearances? Tour? Video? Updated GNR site to go with the album?
The list goes on and on…for an album that was this long in the making, and was this legendary without anyone ever even hearing it, it sure was poorly promoted, with Axl heading that list. I’ve heard people say that it’s not his job to do anything once the album is done, but that’s bullshit. If you take 13 years crafting something, you obviously should want to do ANYTHING in your power to get people to hear it. In theory, you shouldn’t want to release this thing and not give a fuck if nobody listens to it.
Then again, though, this is Axl Rose we’re talking about. And I think, in his mind, if he doesn’t go out and promote it well, and the thing doesn’t sell, he has a fall back…he can just blame somebody else for it’s poor showing. And that is typical Axl Rose.
You might think I hate the man, but I do not. I love GNR, and frankly, couldn’t give a fuck if he’s playing with the original line up or some “hired guns”. I had proper expectations for the album (expecting Appetite V2.0 from a 45 year old multi-millionaire living in sunny Los Angeles is a bit unrealistic…someone in that position just isn’t going to have the same angst he did at 23 living on someone’s apartment floor). I think there were a few good songs on “Chinese Democracy”, but I also think most songs lacked “hooks”. To compensate, Axl just tried to make every song a 6 minute opus with strings and guitar solos galore, and it just gets old after a while. It’s a failure, but a noble failure. I’ll give him credit for TRYING to make something great…it’s rare for most bands today to try to achieve greatness, most are just content on sticking with their niche audience.
So, I would suggest Axl grow the fuck up and take some responsability for himself.

NJP | 2/7/2009, 1:20 pm EST

I remember this Guns and Roses band from back in the 80s – are they still together?

Haha | 2/7/2009, 2:09 pm EST

U think Axl hasnt heard that question 8 million times? what took 13 years to make this record? When it comes to making music, the only person Axl answers to is Axl. That still pisses a lot of people off who still have to answer to someone else. Love the album, hate the album, talk shit about Axl, criticize him, praise him. Obviously he’s gonna do what he wants to do.

gunner89 | 2/7/2009, 5:27 pm EST

I haven’t heard any tracks from Chinese Democracy on radio because I come from a “quiet little redneck mountain town” but based on the comments that I have heard from people that have heard it, it’s a lot like waiting 15 to 20 years for the new Boston album that sounded just like the 15 to 20 year old Boston album that we have already heard…& I’m not a Boston fan but a G’N'R fan. What should I do? Pay full price for something I already have but apparently a K-TEL Version of the sound?? AXL-after all these years, you could have done better if you could get over yourself a little and realize the fans gave you the MONEY to indulge your own sense of being all that-which you may be but not on your own-we financed your “suprememacy” and we deserve better than attitude!!

charlie1 | 2/8/2009, 3:01 am EST

Guns and Roses has done nothing that hasnt already been done, and im sure that the women axl has beat on, lied to about things thinks hes a wonderful person also. And comparing those idiots to Zep,your out of your friging mind.Hell meatloaf has a better voice.

Anonymous | 2/8/2009, 6:13 am EST

I actually own and like “Chinese Democracy,” my only complaint is that it is NOT GN’R. I would have bought it either way, but this is an AXL solo record. These are the requirements to be a GN’R record: Axl, Slash, Izzy, and Duff must ALL play on it. “Better” fucking rules, by the way, even if it is an Axl solo song
.

NotMozart | 2/8/2009, 6:20 am EST

I actually own and like “Chinese Democracy.” That said, it’s still not a GN’R record, it’s an Axl solo record. It ain’t GN’R without Axl, Slash, Izzy, and Duff all playing. Argue amongst yourselves about Adler vs. Sorum (honestly, I’ve seen celebrity rehab, and I would prefer Sorum right now, cause Adler would fuck it up unless he can clean himself up). Anyways, it is a good record, “Appetite” it ain’t, but what the hell is? It’s a good Axl solo record. That is what it is.

I love the I’ve been asking for a marketing plan for 5 years comment. Hey jerkoff…at that point Interscope probably didn’t believe you were ever going to put this sucky album out. Why waste the money? GNR is dead and Axl Rose killed it.

Guneeeer | 2/8/2009, 10:45 am EST

guns only be good with all the stars(Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff…).
Separeted they are so bad.

meatloaf | 2/8/2009, 11:13 am EST

Chinese Democracy is like a greatest hits album. Axl’s haters are all losers because this album is superb without Slash. You haters can’t accept that Axl has proved that he can be a Guns N’ Roses alone. Listen to the music, close your eyes and you don’t need slash out there.

Keep up the great work Axl and GNR!

Anonymous | 2/8/2009, 11:18 am EST

Axl, maybe the reason your album sold like shit was that PEOPLE DON’T WANT TO HEAR YOUR MUSIC ANYMORE!!!! If you keep blaming other people for all your problems, you will be about as releveant as all the other 80’s hair bands you were in league with.

rockballs | 2/8/2009, 12:07 pm EST

No matter what,Axl Rose will stay in music history as one of the most enigmatic, talented and TRUE rock stars ever, give him a F… break, would you?!If he was “finished” as most of you say, why do u bother reading about him and even posting comments about him?!
I loved Chinese Democracy and wish him and the rest of the band all the best!

nik | 2/8/2009, 1:59 pm EST

Axl is fucking awesome. i understand what hes saying. people need to stop living in the fucking past. SLASH AND AXL WILL NEVER PLAY TOGETHER, get the fuck over it. axl is a better musician than slash will ever be. FUCK YA ROCK ON AXL!!! cant wait for the summer tour!!!!

axl lovers are in the MINORITY.
sas but true.
gnr is gone and axl is stuck with his bucket of chicken axemaster and the rest of his goons.
truly SAD and that album blow chunks!
axl is whiny baby who always has excuse for his half ass achiements outside of the real gnr.
now all of his fans waited so long and his album still tanked.
what does that tell you?
axl is over!
mr. axl rosey palms you are a fried up piece of stinky poop and you smell real bad!
so wash yourself up you big jerk and use your VAGISIL!

Lars Ulrich | 2/8/2009, 7:23 pm EST

I told all you bitches we would have the bigger comeback last year. Axl needs to go back into hiding.

mullethead | 2/8/2009, 9:33 pm EST

As usual morons come in saying Axl is irrelevant yet any time there’s an article about him it gets more responses than any other article

Sad that he spelled it out as clearly as possible that he will never, ever reunite with Slash. So either get over it or move on to other things. Quit crying. Chinese Democracy is better than anything Slash has done since leaving GNR by a long way, in fact you could combine the best songs from Slash’s 4 albums since then and it still wouldn’t be as good. Too bad these idiots care more about their little semantics games and drama than music

mullethead | 2/8/2009, 9:35 pm EST

Hey rockballs you realize that Chinese Democracy has sold 2.6 million worldwide in 3 months and Velvet Revolver’s last album sold 0.7 million worldwide in over two years? And their first album has sold 2.98 million in 4.5 years? And you are saying Axl is over? Then what does that say about Slash?

Eiste oloi malakes | 2/9/2009, 7:50 am EST

First of all I’m a HUGE Guns n’ Roses fan. But when I see either Axl coming out with Chinese Bourdocracy or Slash with Guitar Hero I want to put my finger into my eye and into my brain and swirl it around. Where is this legendary band that brought out “Appetite For Destruction”? All they both do is destroy the legend of Guns n’ Roses and mock their fans. Plus Izzy is the one who wrote the songs but nobody mentions him. I really wish we could go back in 1986 when Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven were still all together. When will they realise that the band is dying EVERYDAY with what they do?
P.S.: I hope Steven will clean himself!

Eiste oloi malakes | 2/9/2009, 7:52 am EST

I forgot to say that Guitar Hero Sucks. It must DIE along with Slash who doesn’t only kill his band but also all the others!
Big Slash Fan!

Axl looks like a fish in this photo, doesn’t he?

Rod | 2/9/2009, 10:09 am EST

I was interested in Chinese Democracy becaquse it involved friends of mine on the production and because I was expecting a great album, if it weren’t by my interest in the recourding I could have never know about it’s release.

There is no single in radios, there is no video, and I have not seen promotion or the album in any store.

F**k Universal and Interscope, they want their money bqack but they have not done a damn thing to promote the CD.

for me for GNR to sound more ‘original’ would be backing vocals by izzy nd duff.

3)Modern Guilt
4)Accelerate
5)Black Ice

Carlito | 2/9/2009, 11:29 am EST

I completly agree with mullet head!!!!!!! Chi Dem is a f*ckin amazing album, i was waiting 4 this album and it didnt disapoint, yea ok its not as hard as the origional ablums but times change, uv all been listenin to this sh*t music bein churned out for years and when a great album comes out u dont appriciate it, Chi Dem has outsold velvet revolver by miles, u can tell in duffs interviews he wud love to come back to GnR. If Chi Dem was made by the origonal GnR u wud be singing its praises, so stop your b*tchin, it reminds me of Civil War song!!!! And chi dem is part of a trilogy and the next ablums are ment to be harder so hopefully that will shut u all up!!!!Axl ROCKS back then, now and 4ever!!!!!!

Carlito | 2/9/2009, 11:32 am EST

AXL ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! F*ck all you haters

Aaron D. | 2/9/2009, 12:40 pm EST

Carlito, does it take effort to type as if you’re an illiterate crackhead?

Anyway, I’ve listened to Chinese Democracy, and here’s my two-cents: it’s boring. It sound way too overproduced, and the songs are just lacking. Going in a different direction musically is fine, but cluttering up the production to mask flimsy songwriting is not.

Tano | 2/9/2009, 1:03 pm EST

Jacoby | 2/9/2009, 3:41 pm EST

Fact is Chinese Democracy has sold well outside of the United States, something like 2 million copies world wide outside US…People think that the album is a failure because of its poor sales mainly in the States…yet i watched the Grammy’s last night and Cold Play won a Grammy for best hard rock group…seriously when is cold play considered hard rock? the US taste in music is terrible…Hinder, boy bands, brittany spears, kanye, rap/hip hop bs is all that matters…US doesnt know good music anymore!

damn | 2/9/2009, 4:04 pm EST

Some of you guys nailed it on the head while others just don’t get it..

Almost 3 million copies sold worldwide in 2 months is really good…especially in these bad economic times.

You might not care for the album..that’s fine, but many people do!!

Jon | 2/9/2009, 4:16 pm EST

Interscope’s fault for poor sales? What about the fact that the songs are just not good?

All things considering I’d say the album sold well for songs that are just not good (not bad either – just so-so).

RS | 2/9/2009, 4:20 pm EST

Editorial correction:
The band formally known as Guns N’ Roses.

Robin | 2/9/2009, 4:56 pm EST

Jesus Axl just stop and retire or get back with the real guns n roses. because your new music sucks

Francisco | 2/9/2009, 5:33 pm EST

There are two kinds of GNR fans, those that think that
GNR is Axl, those that think that
GNR is Slash. Since we know how Axl´s music sounds w/o Slash, and Slash´s music w/o Axl, we KNOW that GNR IS SLASH

plastic surgery | 2/9/2009, 5:59 pm EST

the album should be changed to plastic surgery democracy

hugegnrfan | 2/9/2009, 6:16 pm EST

the new gnr sucks
chinese democracy sucks
get the old band back together

PrintGuy | 2/9/2009, 7:35 pm EST

Let’s put this to rest…THERE IS NO GUNS N’ ROSES! Let it go. Axl can call his ‘band’ whatever he wants but it will never be gN’r. That time has come and gone. Comparing Chinese to Appetite is futile. They are differnt fruit from different trees. Each record must now rest on its own laurels. And sales dollars do not make a great album. Was ChiDem a masterpiece rock album? – NO! Neither was Velvet Revolvers last work. They both had their good points and their bad points. Actually considering the genius behind either of those records it’s surprising that they weren’t better. They were much better together than they will ever be on their own.

Anonymous | 2/10/2009, 8:37 am EST

axl, try painting or sculpture. stay away from the music.

you ungrateful piece of crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!
oh and your album is a platter of dog doo doo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YOU PIECE OF CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!

VR | 2/10/2009, 12:00 pm EST

I hate and like both AXL and SLASH at the same time.
thr are lot of people who say..Chinese Democracy isn’t good, dont compare it to Apetite..Well who is asking you to compare it with Apetite? The album is good. And as far as reunion is concerned..well fine..as far as good music is coming out of you 2 individually its great…and if not…its okay..whatever you gave us earlier is enough for me.

Thanks,
vatsal

INCREDIBLE!! | 2/10/2009, 1:58 pm EST

AXL WHY YOU HATE SLASH SO MACH, YOU NEED TO BE MORE CLAR ABOUT THAT.

gnr-rules! | 2/10/2009, 3:29 pm EST

i really feel bad for axl. he spent so musch time working so hard on such an amazing record and his reward for finally releasing it is to watch it flop. it’s not fair. axl deserves more than that! hopefully, the juno nomination, the rock band download, the videos, the new artwork and the rumored (hopefully true) tour will help the sales. the album deserves to be #1 at least for three weeks.

damn | 2/10/2009, 4:38 pm EST

Hey francisco…really? Your trying to tell me that Slash’s snakepit or VR is better than Chinese?…lol I’m not saying that Chinese is a masterpiece, but it’s a “good” album. Much better art than anything Slash has done. And people need to get over Slash already. Slash is famous for one thing..his friggen style (cigaret, top hat, all black) There are many equal or better guitar players out there. Izzy for one, meant much more to GNR than Slash. Yeah, he might not be “as cool” as Slash, but he contributed a hell of a lot more in regards to the writing process. Axl also did much of the writing along side Izzy, has a very unique voice, great stage presence, and leadership values. You need to stop comparing Slash to Axl…it doesn’t even compare. Axl chose Slash to be in “his” band along time ago. Axl made Slash!!

Trigga31 | 2/10/2009, 5:19 pm EST

What the hell is axl talking about? Your baby kills the family and himself?? what does that have to do with anything?

GUITAR NUT 2012 | 2/10/2009, 7:30 pm EST

I respect what Axl says. Who cares about Slash anyway? Velvet Revolver sucked big time! The new Guns N’ Roses songs are very strong, and are worthy of a tour. I give praise to Axl’s excellent song titled: “There was a time”. It is a new musical masterpice.

rockballs | 2/11/2009, 5:43 am EST

YOU KNOW WHAT.
I’M GOING TO BE FAIR IN THIS MATTER.
NOT ONE MEMBER OF THE ONCE GREAT GNR IS GOOD ON THEIR OWN!
SLASH SUCKS AND IS IN THE POOR MAN’S GNR (VELVET REVOLVER) AND THEREST OF THEM ARE NO BETTER THOUGH I WILL GIVE AXL PROPS THAT CHINESE IS BETTER THAN SLASH’S PROJECTS.
STILL THAT’S NOT SAYING MUCH BECAUSE THE FACT IS THAT GNR WAS NOT ABOUT ONE MEMBER BUT ABOUT EACH MEMBER CONTRIBUTING TO MAKE A FANTASTIC WHOLE.
AXL DOESN’T REALIZE THAT BECAUSE HE’S AN ASSHOLE BUT WHEN ALL SI SAID AND DONE HE WILL.
LIKE I SAID ,IF THIS WAS THE REAL GNR THEN SALES WOULD HAVE SKYROCKETED BUT IT’S NOT.
IT’S LIKE KISS CALLING THEMSELVES KISS AND THEY’RE REALLY THE GENE SIMMONS PAUL STANLEY RIPOFF PROJECT.
IN OTHER WORDS IT’S BULLSHIT.
YOU CAN ONLY GO SO FAR IN YOUR BULLSHIT AXL.
THAT’S WHY YOUR MASTERPIECE THAT TOOK A DECADE IS TANKING.
PEOPLE DON’T BUY INTO THE LIE.
IT’S NOT GNR AND THE GREAT CHEMISTRY THAT ALL OF THE MEMBERS MADE HAPPEN!
GET IT FUCKHEAD??????

civil war | 2/12/2009, 11:01 am EST

but really the problem is that slash plays in the wrong band, htey are really ritarded, and axl wants to do some thing genune and uniq but he cants, drug dosent effect them anymore like it did in 90s. beside ,to being hunest theres no good rock hard beating music any more these days. so dont blame them i really grew up with this band ,and im from iran and i learnd english reading gnr texts. and it was always dreamin to be in thier concerts but i couldnt because iran Gov. is islamic mother fucker republic son of a gay mohamed

max | 2/12/2009, 7:41 pm EST

i agree with francisco. Slash is just the fucking man. and no you dumb piece of fucking shit (”damn”) it has NOTHING to do with his style, meaning his clothes. Slash may do stupid things with all of the vodka. and sure his band sucks. but slash is a guitar legend, he has such precision with his guitar. its axl’s fucking fault that slash isnt in the band. slash can do much better things we all know that, but the “new” guns n roses isnt anything compared to what it was. Slash will always be better than axl. ALWAYS

well well well
dont we all have 2 cents to put in!
both are fantastic musicians, and as a guy who is currently trying out for front man of Velvet revolver, and a life long standing fan of gnr’s, you so called fans out there should have a little more respect for rock gods like axl and slash. I personally love both chinese, and contraband. No-one on this forum has the right to openly insult axl or slash. Without these creative people in our life, many of us wouldn’t be here. So think before you talk and give them both more respect fuck

The Axl and Slash union is both a marriage made in heaven and hell. It’s just one of those things. I believe neither will find the right lead singer (VR) or the right guitar sound (GNR), because both the voice and the sound were made for one another. But, I love Chinese Democracy just the same… EXELLENT CD guys!!!!…better than Libertad and Contraband, I’d have to say… LOVE YOU BOTH…though AXL snd SLASH: two of the all time greatest ROCK artists!!!!

Wait a minute….this album has sold 3 million copies worldwide and its only available at Best Buy? Thats pretty amazing. If Axl’s band were called “Axl’s Guns” then all this caca would blow over.

sickofitall | 2/16/2009, 5:29 pm EST

umm.. if bestbuy prebuys a million cipies.. with a no return policy.. does that count as recor sales.. when it ends up in the dollar bin…

frankly it sux, he can’t sing, never really could.. he has simply no musical taste.. i’s a shame; because the music is very good.. just a real singer would help.

AXLSLASHER | 2/25/2009, 10:52 am EST

As many have already said, GN’R isn’t about Slash or Axl. It’s about the musical chemistry of the entire band. It’s true that Axl and Slash were the most famous out of the band, but everyone else contributed just as much as made the music as epic as it was. I like Chinese Democracy. I just think the older albums are so much better. I personally think it’s sad that there will never be a classic GN’R reunion. The world will never have another band like the original Guns N’ Roses.

Iggy | 3/1/2009, 10:13 am EST

Who cares about all these stuff? Just listen to their music and if you don’t like the new GnR, well, that’s your choice, again..who cares about their lives? Do they pay attention to your lives..mmm NO. So please.. it is pathetic to see all these opinions about Slash and Axl..you all sound that you have nothing to do with your lives. Me? I just listen to the music man!! I don’t give a crap of other’s lives.. Most of you are losers..sorry it’s my opinion

who cares about Slash? VR have outlasted their use… GnR are the ones who are coming out on top – even if their sales are a bit down in the US, it still beats Libertad… and in the long run, VR will be a footnote in GnR history, Chinese Democracy won’t! ;-D

Bingala | 3/10/2009, 2:46 am EST

Well if you are one of those who say Chinese Democracy falls short of beingthe best Hard Rock music album of recent times, can you please name the alternative that this album has failed to compete with? Thank you in advance ;)

For the undecided; Try the album 2 times before judging it.

Warning: Highly addictive

I personally got to like the band without knowing the band members. For me it was all about the music. Nothing has changed for me still. Whoever comes up with good music, it will do for me.

Axl Rose is one of the reasons music industry has a chance of survival.

Axl/Axle/Axel, (whatever the spelling is, but who really cares anyway) a Megalomaniacal Asshole who spends 13 years recording the single most expensive album in history (Some accounts have pegged the actual cost at over $20 million that came out of Interscope and Universal Music Very Deep Pockets, not a dime of which came out of This 45 year old Prima Donna’s Axl/Axle/Axels’ Pocket and they’re supposed to be the Bad Guys) yet this Pinheads’ reasoning is and I quote “Rose doesn’t blame Best Buy’s exclusive deal for Chinese Democracy’s unexpectedly low sales, (Or himself for that matter) but points the finger at his labels, Interscope and Universal Music. (Of course he does) “Unfortunately I have no information for me to believe [that] there was any real involvement or effort from Interscope,” Rose told Billboard. “I do know [that] I’ve been asking for a marketing plan for over five years and still haven’t got anything.”!
Who’s the real bad guy here? And who really gives a shit about Slash anymore, either one of them are washed-up and have been since the late 80’s and early 90’s!
And the Fans…..WWWOOOOOOHHOOOOOO….Are some of the most Rabid (and for the Exception of a few posters I’ve read in here, you know who you are) the most Stupid and Ignorant Posters/Fans I have ever had the Misfortune to run into for a long time! Have any of you Stupid/Ignorant MotherFuckers ever heard of “SPELLCHECKER”!
I Know things most be tough for you Dumb Fuckin’ Assholes when you have an IQ in the low 60’s, but trust me even a Drunk Chimpanzee can use “SPELLCHECKER”!

you guys you can pick both sides, axl and slash, but there not getting back together. As much as there music is good, it will never be as it used to be. Axl has 5 new members in the band. With 5 new guys, the music is bound to change no matter what. Surely none of them write like the original line-up, but in the end both axl and slash are great,it would be great to have them together, but it aint happening so just listen to their music and chill

today’s guns n roses suck without the original members together -especially slash. all that it is, is a cover band of g n r -with the lead singer being the exception. axel can pretend he’s doing what the fans want, but he knows what we really want; the original band back together. he can be a hard as* and say that it will never happen, but then he is only hurting the fans -not slash. and then life goes on to where axel is the only person in the world thinking people give a sh*t about his g n r cover band.

dealer974 | 4/30/2009, 10:20 am EST

i prefer the band stay like that!! however guns n roses has always been the original band!!
but if they play togather again, i think the musik won t be so excited than appetite or the illusion!!so original!! with slash, izzy, axl….duff!!they are all amazing!! i prefer staying on their fucking good concert during appetite tour or illusion tour when thez were young and find!

so chinese democratie is a really good album!! a verry good production! i respect the new band and i respect axl work!! this is a new sound,a new area!
this is better if they don t make the same things than before!

and if you want to stay on the original band!! look their fucking good show!! or if you want to listen the old sound!! listen velvet revolver, listen the slash album solo with lenny kravitz, alice cooper, fiegi, tyler steven…^^

Slash and Axle, wake up. You two are great the way things are but together you two are just bigger than life. I think all of the GNR fans more than deserve for you two to just let go of all the crap and reunite GNR. Get back to doing what it’s all about, making kick ass music together. A GNR reunion would be the biggest reunion ever.

Sam | 5/13/2009, 8:46 pm EST

People, understand! It’s sad they are not playing riffs together anymore, but Axl has a reason not to reunite with Slash! Be it childish or not it’s his decision, and I’m sure we all know he is too stubborn to say he was wrong about Slash (that is if he was wrong)and he wants to get back to playing with him. I’m a GNR fan as well, I think Appetite is one of the best albums ever, but we can’t do anything to bring them back. Axl is being very clear about it and I personally respect his decision. There is absolutely nothing we can do to convience Axl to try and reunite with Slash, the only thing we can do about this is move on and accept it. It’s hard for anyone who grew up listening to them, I’m sure, but we all have to understand that Axl jsut doesn’t want anything to do with Slash anymore.

I like the new CD but I agree that it’s not the old (or original) GNR. I think Axl should’nt have let this CD out as still a “Guns N’ Roses” CD, because it’s not. It’s a CD he pretty much made alone, and that’s alright but he shoud’ve released this new one with a different band name (or his own name).

Some people don’t like Chinese Democracy. I love it! It’s awesome. The quality of sound is great! The old fans, miss Slash… LOL. I don’t miss him

Axl is Axl.. GnR was GREAT, but it sounds obvious Axl and Slash no longer get along…
Axl has great talent and I wish him all the best.
I am one that wishes GnR was still around but can’t have GnR without Slash. Can only hope Axl and Slash can become friends again.
Good Luck Axl in all that u do! xoxo

The main problem is this: Gun´s best CD is Appetite and they will never do better, wheather there is Slash or not. It´s very frustrating and it shows on statements..

Meiriza - f or Axl Rose | 10/27/2009, 11:24 am EST

I don’t know you but your voice, which colorful my life. And I wish you have a beautiful life as I do.

bring back the real guns n ros | 11/1/2009, 12:28 am EST

Grow up Axl you dont have to like Slash, Guns n roses is missing a big chunk without slashs solos, you two complete each other musically. I wanna hear your screams followed by slashs solos once again.

Nick72 | 11/7/2009, 6:21 am EST

You can’t expect him to forsake his own morals and standards for your sakes. Axl’s made it clear that he doesn’t make music for the sole purpose of creating something people want to hear. I don’t know him, but I’d venture a guess to say he doesn’t care that you think he’d make better sounds with Slash. He doesn’t owe you anything and he’ll make any changes to his life and career that he sees fit. I personally appreciate the music he’s cranked out and the fact he’s still at it despite all the bullshit he’s had thrown his way from old friends, the media, and misled fans.

911 | 11/7/2009, 1:23 pm EST

Forget Slash, he is a horrible guitarist and an embarrassment to himself and old GNR. Axl Rose proves that he can carry the band without the old members.

dan | 11/16/2009, 2:30 am EST

What have GNR done since Izzy left? Axl was a great frontman, Slash a very good guitar player (Solos). Those two things don’t mean a thing if you don’t have good songs, and I believe that’s what Izzy brought to the band, good songs.

James | 11/18/2009, 5:47 am EST

hey man
ive been readin these comments, mostly sayin ” Guns without slash sucks, axl made slash leave, axl sucks he needs slash, blah blah FUCKIN blah, you people need to get a grip and stop focusin so much on axl being th bad guy, we have never heard his version of the break up, only slash’s. even scott weiland says he doesnt think axl is the bad guy anymore after being in a band with slash. it was everyones choice to leave the band, not axls fault. they CHOSE to leave, axl just carried on doing what he loved doing.so have the other guys, so who are we to say what they should do, these comments have pissed me off a canny bit, because we have no idea of there lives, apart from some phsyco people here continuously checkin for updates or lookin for information on everything they have done. I loved chinese, best album of 2008, i aint heard anything decent this year so i think of 09 aswell, contraband was a great album, libertad sucked big time. hopefully slash’s solo album will be good, well it has too be with the amount of special guests there is on there, but his version of paradise city sucked i think, but sahara was ok after a few listens, if that guy on sahara can sing english, get him as new frontman of VR, he rocked i think

..Peace
