God! Forget about the economic free fall for a second. The musical free fall in the last few years make our financial woes look like a $0.19 increase in the Micky D double cheese price!
The Winner is… Nobody! The drivel being released in the name of so-called “popular” or “progressive” music is so forgettable and lame it makes the worst of the 60’s music sound like the 10 commandments! The artists are totally interchangeable and forgettable, lacking any semblance of relevance or emotion.
I was lucky enough to grow up in an era when Music changed the world. The garbage being released today couldn’t change a diaper!

I hope Lil Wayne doesn’t win best album. I’m pulling for Krauss and Plant. I think Coldplay and Radiohead will cancel eachother out and Ne Yo doesn’t stand a chance.

The Grammys are the ultimate universal joke. It took Shelby Lynne 10 years of recording albums to get her Best New Artist Grammy a few seasons ago. Of course she deserved it[!!!] – but back when she was NEW instead of that year’s winners, “Milli Vanilli”[the other ultimate Grammny joke]. It’s disgustingly unfair that Sony/Columbia “buys” Springsteen his Grammy award year after year, and more deserving artists than him should/deserve get the trophy, cos he’s not exactlty hurting for record sales/exposure – he’s been over exposed for 30 years and keeps putting out the same bland shit. Don’t even get me started on the crappy so called Top 40 losers that get awarded more for sales and their lack of artistic[none] integrety.

The Loser is…the labels, there is no big record this year, sales are way down, nobody shows videos, people stopped caring.

There were some great records in 2008, but few are in the Grammys

Its a shame its all about record sales and not about talent! Its make or break time for the grammys!

U people are so PMS. Complain complain complain. If they weren’t the best, they wouldn’t have the best record sales. Just because they aren’t ur favorite, don’t mean they ain’t someone elses favorites. Obviously someone likes them; or they wouldn’t have the begger record sales. People need to give it a rest on the milli duo. They messed up they paid the price when stripped of their Grammy. One gave his life to the mistake. Those two had more heart than alot of the singers today. People quit caring about music so much because its about clothes and popularity, and who shows the most skin. Not about singing talent. I can’t even watch a decent video. It’s all about boobs and butts. When I want to listen/watch music videos THATS what I expect to see and hear. If I wanted to watch butts n boobs that has no talent I’d watch a porn or late night HBO. Too me you can always spot talentless singers. They have the most skin showing. Real good singers are covered. They don’t need to show skin to win !!!

I agree with jungleland2…nobody shows videos anymore….vh1 does early in the morn……..but that’s it..
