In the history of popular culture, I don’t think anything has ever been more overrated than “The State.” I have never laughed at these hacks, and Michael Ian Black and David Wain are some of the most boring, smug dudes in Hollywood.

The State was a hysterical show, one that went outside the box and offered something…well “different”. Maybe The State should not be lumped into the category of “pop culture” which is defined as “a collection of ideas or memes that are popular, well-liked or common and create the prevailing culture.” The State was far from common, it was extraordinary!

I loved The State when it was on MTV (kind of a poor mans Kids In The Hall, but damn funny)…I wonder if the old shows hold up ( will they ever make it to DVD?) Stella & Reno 911 were also damn funny…and so I will dip my balls in it.
