Having their song “Shut Up and Let Me Go” featured in an Apple ad was just the tip of the iceberg for English pop duo the Ting Tings in 2008. The group, Katie White and Jules De Martino, also saw “That’s Not My Name” hit the Number One spot on the U.K. singles chart and had their tunes featured on television shows like Gossip Girl and films including Slumdog Millionaire. So we’re pleased to announce the pair kicked of 2009 with a visit to the Smoking Section, where they performed both of those songs and sat down to discuss their next album and how U.K. tour buses smell … fragrant.
