Hard Candy? Really? Even Britney’s album was better. C’mon.

Isn’t anyone responsible to take away music critic license for putting such dreck on the best of the year list?

“Hard Candy”, Britney, Fall Out Boy, Beyonce, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, etc. Just because mainstream music was really subpar this year doesn’t mean you should celebrate this dreck. Music critics have a responsibility to actually find quality music to champion.

Hey RS, any one of your staff who puts Madonna’s Hard Candy on top of their list of best albums deserves to be given a pink slip and a boot out the door. (By the way, my resume is available for review for employment there ;-) ).

Hard Candy is great. Many respected critics are citing it as one of 2008’s best albums.

Ms Donna might be great, but her time seems to be fleeing . . . it’s laughable that RS features so much madonna and britany spears, and taylor swift. Are any of them actual songwriters . . . perhaps madonna (a 50 yr+ sex symbol)? Yet, in overwhelming numbers the Killers (a new wave of songman and pop/rock star) are supported by fans. Still, have they yet to grace the cover of RS or even be covered in a full feature. RS seems to have maybe fallen off the charts this generation.
