AC/DC Singer Johnson Putting “Thoughts And Anecdotes” Into New Book

AC/DC singer Brian Johnson has something to do during downtime on the band’s Black Ice tour: The vocalist has signed a deal with Penguin Books to pen his memoirs, a collection of “thoughts and anecdotes” he’s compiled in his years as the singer of the Australian band. Don’t expect a tawdry tale like Motley Crue’s The Dirt, however, as Johnson’s 300-page manuscript will have a different tone. “I like humor a lot,” Johnson said, “and cars have been a big part of my life. I’m lucky enough that I’m able to buy some of the exotic ones. Instead of doing drugs, I did motorcars. I’m not sure which one is more expensive.” Stories in the book will likely include Johnson’s debut ride in a Concorde jet, his first auto race and that time he drove backwards for 9 1/2 miles because his gears were busted. No title or print date has been announced yet.

Ok let me put it to you straight about Brian Johnson’s memoir: B-O-R-I-N-G! You think rock aficionados care about his hobby with racing cars or his ride in a jet? No! We want to hear the stories of the drug parties and his tawdry stories of getting laid backstage after a gig or his most interesting lay or what’s the most number of chicks did he fornicate with at one time because of his stardom. Or how about the best Australian weed he’s ever smoked. That’s what we want to read about! Bahh, humbug!

haha right on Frosty!

can’t wait, not every rock n roll book has to be about drugs….should be a good read about a great band

Frosty: you cant hear his tales of drug parties because THERE WERENT ANY. Didn’t you even read the quote where he said he never did drugs? READ THE ARTICLE.

Where to begin? First of all music acts these days could stand to learn a few things from AC/DC. You don’t have to be a cokehead or alcohlic to be famous. That makes you infamous, if not put you in an early grave (R.I.P. Bon. Love you.) Yet Bon might not have had a drinking problem – but unforntately drinking too much killed him. Sure Malcolm had a drinking problem yet he has able to deal with it before it killed him. Congratulations, malcolm. Angus has done very few if any drugs other than nicotine and caffiene.
Celebrities and rock stars are people too. They are not superhuman. No matter how much they try to be. And there is more to Brian’s life than music and the rock and roll lifestyle. I am interested to see what he says about that side of his life.
To those who need to hear about the wild sex rock stars have, i think you need to find a hobby, or a life.

Without Brian there wasn’t no AC/DC he is a good singer and really cool. His voice I very nice when he is screaming thanks for making Black Ice Brian.

Brian Johnon is just ok in my book. I grew up in the 70’s and Bon Scott was “the man”. I saw them in Pittsburgh and was hooked. I did like Babk in Black & For those about to Rock. But after that, the screaming sounded the same and was unintelligible.

I’ll give Brian’s book a read. That’s saying alot coming from me, I’m not a reader.I’ve always thought he was a funny guy, so let’s see how funny.I’m sure he’s had quite a life, but what rock star hasn’t. I want to read about his years with the band.He had big shoes to fill and he did it his way. He was a perfect fit.

Frosty is a douche. Try wacking off to a girly mag. and imagining what it would be like to be with a real live one, like all the other douche bags… ! Ha ha. Be sure to get high first though!

Good on Ya Brian. Bon was great, but AC/DC went on to be the Worlds greatest rock band with Brian as the lead singer. ” We Salute you Brian” True working class hero who would pay to perform on that stage
