I couldnt agree more with anonymous. All of these artists bore the pants off of me. Lil Wayne was somewhat interesting but Conor Oberst is beyond overrated. Vampire Weekend=OK Go (Yawn) I guess the return of the masters will have to jumpstart us….GNR Prince U2

Hey! Don’t insult OK Go by equating them with those Talking Heads wannabe.

As for the list, it’s a solid critically acclaimed list that you would expect from a music critic. I don’t mean it as an insult. It seems like the list is more about artistic ambition than listenability.

I think the list is pretty much dead on. I have to say, there are a few bands to look out for in 2009, including This Condition. They’re a long island pop-rock group, that is about to burst onto the big scene. Front man Nate Cyphert has the energy and vocals comparable to that of Freddy Mercury or the Rocket Summer’s Bryce Avary.

Their newest EP came out late in 2008, but look out for it’s explosion during 2009. You’ll want to say you heard them first. trust me.
