Back in March, Sheryl Crow and Fleetwood Mac seemed to be having a communication breakdown: Crow said she’d be touring with the band, but Lindsey Buckingham denied it. Thankfully, Stevie Nicks had a chat with the Smoking Section last week to clear it all up:

“What happened is that it was absolutely discussed and [Sheryl] absolutely was invited to join the band. The reason was I wanted another woman in the band, because I missed Christine so bad that it was just really hard for me to be in the boys club.”

Another band in a woman.

CHRISTINE is deeply missed – her songs are the core of the band’s legacy. If Sheryl joins, I won’t be buying their music anymore because she sucks and will dilute the band’s artistic integrety. Stevie – you’re a big girl – you don’t need someone to hold your hand through this anymore.
