As if the reissue of Pearl Jam’s Ten wasn’t massive enough, the Seattle quintet revealed today that the 1991 album will be playable in its entirety on Rock Band 2. The Rock Band download package will be available March 24th, which happens to be the same day the reissue of Pearl Jam’s debut album is released. “Just hearing the first few notes of ‘Jeremy’ or ‘Alive’ brings back all the raw emotion of this incredible, hugely important album,” said Paul DeGooyer, Senior Vice President of Electronic Games and Music for MTV Networks. “We are honored to be working with Pearl Jam to deliver Ten as it is re-issued.”

The album’s “Alive” was previously playable as an in-game song on Rock Band 2. The announcement comes just hours after Guitar Hero and Metallica revealed they were hooking up for a new GH game. As for the Ten pack, we’re already counting the days until we can inevitably score “Weak” while trying to emulate Eddie Vedder’s high notes during the chorus of “Oceans.”

I sure hope this is available on a disk rather then downloading it- for us who woe the whole playstation store thing, and are playing the game on a playstation 2.
At least we know that every song will rock, with massive solos and solid drumming. Not to mention the bass and vocals. All rock anthem pack.

As a die hard fan, i was talking about this concept recently, saying how it’d be such a perfect fit, and was told of this news. Incredible. Once. Even Flow. Alive. Why Go? Black. King Jeremy the Wicked. Oceans. Porch. Garden. Deep. Release. Unreal. Thanks fellas.

How about dropping this on disc for users w/o internet availability or for users on PS2?

EPIC!!!!! | 2/19/2009, 10:25 pm EST

Now if we can get Vs and any random tracks off of any other albums like “given to fly”,”do the evolution”,”lukin”, etc… that would be amazing. Imagine trying to sing along to blood? EPIC!!!

This album changed my life when I was partying hard at the perfect age of 21 when it came out. What a great way to relive the party.
