On the Anniversary of John Lennon’s Death, A Look Back at His Rolling Stone Interview

John Lennon died 28 years ago today, a mere three weeks after the release of his classic comeback album Double Fantasy. In 1971, Lennon sat down with Rolling Stone editor and publisher Jann S. Wenner for a sprawling, candid interview that was spread over two issues of the magazine.
