Springsteen Unveils New Video For “My Lucky Day”

12/1/08, 1:57 pm EST

Bruce Springsteen has unveiled a new video for “My Lucky Day,” the second song released from his upcoming Working On A Dream. Starting today, you can download the song exclusively through Amazon’s MP3 Store for one week only. Besides being embedded above, the video is also up at Springsteen’s MySpace page, where it’s joined by two minutes of behind-the-scenes footage. Working On A Dream, Bruce’s Brendan O’Brien-produced follow-up to last year’s Magic, is due out in stores January 27th, five days before Springsteen will take the 50-yard line as part of this year’s Super Bowl halftime show.

I don’t like that wal mart is doing anything exclusive of Bruce, but maybe he has little to do with it. And really it’s not all that exclusive. You can buy any of the songs everywhere else. And it doesn’t sound like it will even be the best greatest hits compilation to choose from. Hopefully most Bruce fans have sworn off all uneccessary trips to WaldeMort by now. They are the small business crushing, small town sucking, union busting, low wages no values beast that trickles down on the working class and the poor. That’s maybe why we don’t see any new music exclusively coming from Bruce thru them. I hope I’m right.

With the Boss turning into an associate at the store with the star in the name people jus can’t wait for him to sing the “Blagojevich Shuffle” in the New Year parade.
America’s unluckiest day wus when he put China first.

chinese democracy sucks horribly! 14 years to make a load of crap.

YOU GOT IT IN HIGH GEAR BOSS!

AG, I think you’re right that he’s saving the best for the album. Tho I like the singles, this one more so, I doubt they’ll be the best on the album. However, as with anything musical, I’m sure there will be people that will like this album more than Magic and some that won’t. Just the way it goes. Tho admittedly I’m a kool-aid drinker and any new Bruce is better than no Bruce!

sounds ok, the two new singles aren’t as good as anything on Magic and he seems to be continuing his trend of only making catchy, almost generic rock, instead of the deep powerful lyrics he used to write. In my opinion Chinese Democracy is still the best album out, but bruce may be saving the best for the album.

Yes, yes, very good bruce.

Good song for the first minute… but then the three minutes after that are exactly the same. Did he forget to write a chorus for the song?

Bruce, I love you. Great song, great vocals, as always, and you look so hot in this video I can’t stand it. I loved Magic but something tells me I may share more of an affinity with the new album. And I’m not exactly going by the two singles I’ve heard.

I love Bruce, but how many songs can he write w/”Day” in the title?

JD | 12/2/2008, 12:24 am EST

Looking forward to the new album. This is exactly what rock should sound like; catchy, accessible, immediate and memorable. Do any of those words describe anything by such crappy bands as Hindernicklecreeddoorsdown? Don’t make me Laugh.

right on brucefan, this CD will be banging!

Brucefan | 12/1/2008, 9:45 pm EST

Hope the new cd rocks more than Magic. This new song looks like it might. Lookin’ forward to it!
RIP Danny
