Atlanta Rapper Admits To Shooting In Lyrics, Gets Jail Time

11/20/08, 4:17 pm EST

An Atlanta rapper is behind bars for the next 20 years after confessing to an attempted murder in the lyrics to one of his songs. Rico Todriquez Wright was sentenced in the 2006 shooting of Chad Blue. While on trial, Blue testified that “I heard one of the men tell Rico, ‘Go ahead and shoot him.’ When he raised his gun, I knew I had to run.” Wright suffered gunshots to the thigh and groin. However, it wasn’t Blue’s testimony that was the smoking gun for Wright. Rather, it was a single lyric from one of his own raps that did Wright in. “Chad Blue knows how I shoot,” Wright gloated in the lyric. Wright was sentenced to 20 years for aggravated assault.

Um yeah, Chad Blue knows how you shoot, you shoot crappy enough to let him live, and he testified, and you were monumentally stupid enough to put it on wax, and you are in prison, and you are an idiot. Is this for real? Are people really this dumb? I guess so.

Isn’t it about time to put this so-called “art form” to bed? Rap should be called Brag – morons dressed like clowns with grade school educations bragging about guns and hos.
This story shouldn’t surprise anyone.
And before you start calling me racist, please note that I’m African-American.

You’re not racist, just prone to judge everyone under one blanket. Not everyone in rap does that. Just like with rock and roll, you have intelligence, and you have stupidity.

This reminds me of an episode from Boondocks. The one with gangstalicious. But RAP SUX – It’s a shame to see that your African American and are so negative towards one of the few things that bring our people wealth and success. Look at people like Jay-z who invested what he made and now owns 40/40 in several countries let alone states. Or Sean Combs better known as Diddy. Do I even need to start Vote or Die campaign which by the way attributed to Barack Obama’s success through new registered Voters, making the band multiple seasons which opened doors for pop, r&b, rap, dance and all races . Or Master P, Owns multiple estates, Has stock in oil and many gas stations as well and that’s not to mention endless royalties. Are you successful as any of them?? I doubt it. So take yourself off that invisible pedastool and come back down to earth. Master P is one of the ghetto people ever gold teeth heavy chains hos and all. But yet Nickelodeon gave him and his son a show. How can you let caucasians support your people more than you. Keep those type of comments to yourself we have came so far and not just for you to put us back 100 years. Rap is the only hope for some people in the ghetto who see no other way out. WHen you look at somebody who came from where you do and look like you and talk , walk and are just so similar to you. It gives you hope that you too can have something other than a matress on the floor which you probably gotta share with 3 or 4 sibblings. Everyone isn’t born with that silver spoon. T
