My Morning Jacket, Wu-Tang, STP Lead Bands With New Year’s Plans

11/17/08, 5:52 pm EST

There are only 44 days left in 2008. Though it seems like a long way off, it’s never too soon to set yourself up with tickets to see some live music instead of toasting 2009 with a glass of sparkling cider in your mom’s living room. According to this handy guide, there will be live music in your area no matter what time zone you live in. Rock Daily will be at the My Morning Jacket show at Madison Square Garden, though we also suggest Stone Temple Pilots in Los Angeles, Wu-Tang Clan in Baltimore and Styx in Tempe as excellent ways to get the next 365 days started on the right foot.

Wow… really? Someone is actually wasting their time prattling on about Palin still? Sad.

Excuse me Rolling Stone but I figa you are forgetting my sweet state of Alaska and the Alaskan Time Zone. I don’t see any live music coming over my ways in Wasilla or any other place in Alaska there on that list. We Alaskans are a proud people and we welcome live entertainment and we have lots going on on New Years Eve. Just cause you ain’t reporting it don’t means nothing’s happening out here. You betcha.
