Bruce Springsteen’s new “Workin’ On a Dream” will make its official debut this Sunday night on NBC during the broadcast of the Dallas Cowboys/Washington Redskins football game. The song, which debuted in acoustic form when Bruce was on the road stumping for Barack Obama, will reportedly feature on Springsteen’s follow-up to 2007’s Magic. The new album is expected out January 2009. The “Workin’” that will appear on NBC is the finished studio version and will be used to soundtrack “a video of NFL highlights” from Sunday’s action, so it’s probably best to catch the pre-show and halftime coverage to ensure a listen. Of course, the “Workin’” debut begins a partnership with Bruce and the NFL that will culminate on February 1st when Springsteen and his E Street Band headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Has anyone at RS achieved the happy ending over the song yet? Is there any way you can give his next record 6 stars?

Has anyone at RS achieved the happy ending over the song yet? Is there any way you can give his next record 6 stars? Did anyone yet realize the melody line to “Radio Nowhere” is “Jenny (867-5309)”?

Bruce’s new song should really be great….hell he and the Mrs. drank way more than enough Kool Aid while making it… I hear in fact, that the next song to be released from the new album is entitled “Kool Aid Kountry”.

What Brian…you just loved that stupid ass comment so much you had to post it twice? The 2 songs sound nothing alike. Harpo, God it’s fun to listen to you bitter pukes blather on. You DO KNOW Rolling Stone is a huge supporter of liberal causes, correct? What the hell are you doing here? Isn’t O’Reilly on about now? Dumbass.

Mr. Raspukin’,

I hear President Elect Obama doesn’t do well with you mean spirited guys not being able to reach across the aisle. This is the new age of bi-partisanship if you haven’t heard, so all the name caliing etc. is no longer acceptable.

The “brain police” are watching, and if you are again detected not being with the program, your access to moveon.org could be rescinded.

Obviously you were not aware of this…so I hope I helped you out a bit there brother!!!!

Peace

I actually didn’t mean any disrespect toward the Boss. I’m not his biggest fan, but shit, I respect him. It’s the people who give him 5 stars for waking up in the morning I can’t hack. Sorry Rasp, but “Radio Nowhere” and “Jenny” are really similar melody-wise. You can sing the chorus to “Jenny” to “Radio Nowhere.” Sorry if it hurts to realize this, but you know, the facts are the facts.

Brian…you are correct on the “Radio Nowhere” and “Jenny” similarities. It was cited in many reviews of the “Magic” CD.

Good job educating our brother Raspy!!! I’m sure he appreciates it.
