Hoping to cash in on the big Thanksgiving buying spree, Island Def Jam will release their three big albums of the winter — the Kanye West’s 808s & Heartbreak and Ludacris’ Theater of the Mind — on Monday, November 24th, a day before their previously scheduled shelf date. The move shakes the decades-old norm of releasing a new album on Tuesday. We’re not entirely sure what dropping the albums one day earlier will do, especially considering how the “Black Friday” sales weekend doesn’t begin until November 28th, but Island might be hoping to jump on the lucrative coattails of Guns N’ Roses’ Chinese Democracy, which will hit shelves exclusively in Best Buy on November 23rd. And just in case you want to avoid the shopping masses that week, the three albums will also be released digitally on November 24th.

Chinese Democracy will be #1 on billboard.

I hope Joel is right, but I know every Kanye album is huge on the charts. Still, the anticipation around GNR should push them to #1.

The Killers will get swallowed up by Kanye and Axl.

Chinese is one of the most anticipated albums of all time. It’s goin’ to the top. Sorry killers, and Kanye you’re a loser too. GN’R!!!

Chinese Democracy….well let me put it this way if Chinese Democracy isn’t one of the best albums of the year let alone of all time, it’s a straight failure. I highly doubt it will debute at #1 next to Mr. West or Mr. the killers. With respect to Mr. Rose, I will now buy both Day&Age by the killers and Chinese Democracy on the same day. Mr. West aside, I’d like to see how the killers far against GNR. I’m hoping for the killers.

‘Its coming. It’s not coming. Wait, it is coming. Nope, it’s not…’ What were we talking about again? OH yeah, the new GN’R album. I’m sorry, it must have slipped my mind that Axl was coming out with a new album. “Really?” you say. “Yes,” I reply, ” But don’t get to excited, it’s just Axl and some other jokers.” “So wait, it’s not the original lineup?”. “Nope” I respond. “OH. NEVERMIND then!” That is what most are thinking. No one cares. The Killers (or Kanye, sorry to say) are going to take the top spot.

Kanye will win hands down especially since its not really gnr its just axl all washed up…plus kanyes album is revolutionary and verrrry different from ANYTHING ever heard by the human ear before…mr west at number one!

“kanyes album is revolutionary and verrrry different from ANYTHING ever heard by the human ear before…mr west at number one!”

Yeah. Kanye is the new Kurt Cobain. People are worshipping Kanye and saying he invented everything. Oh boy, oh goodie.
Uh, yeah, right. How is Kanye’s work more revoluntionary or important or long-lasting than truly great music – The Who, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd …?
People, in this day and age, seem to continually equate record sales with talent and skill. “The Killers will get swallowed up by Kanye and Axl.” ??? So Kanye sells more records in the first week, that makes him more talented? What a wonderful climate we live in today …..

I bought the Kanye and The Killers CD, the Kanye album was horrible. I’m a huge fan, but if using Autotune on everytrack makes you revolutionary then Tpain should be called T-CHE and verrrry different from ANYTHING means WACK in this case. Being different is cool, but only if its got not crap.
