Janet Jackson’s ill-fated Rock Witchu tour has come to a sudden end as Jackson has opted to cancel instead of reschedule all those concerts that were postponed due to her bout with vertigo. “Conflicts in the singer’s schedule” has been cited as the cause of the cancellations, but poor ticket sales are the more likely culprit. In all, seven shows have been cancelled, including stops in Montreal, Boston and Philadelphia. From the onset, the Rock Witchu tour was plagued with problems. First, the planned European leg of the tour was axed, then Janet began getting vertigo-induced migraines that forced the cancellation of a handful of shows and finally opening act LL Cool J abandoned the bill after all the false starts. The end of the Rock Witchu drama does mean Janet is available to open for that Jackson 5 reunion that isn’t happening.
