Video: How Duran Duran Made “Hungry Like the Wolf”

Next Tuesday, Duran Duran’s 1982 LP Rio gets the “Classic Albums” treatment as the Eagle Rock DVD tracing the album’s creation and impact hits stores. Rock Daily’s got two exclusive clips: First, Nick Rhodes tells the story behind “Hungry Like the Wolf” and deconstructs the song down to its synths, guitars and drum sounds to demonstrate how it all came together in the studio. I hope people who write them off as a ‘boy band’ and a ‘teeny bob’ band watch this and see that they were musicians and as credible as U2 or any other ‘respectable’ bands - they were always ‘guilty’ of being liked by teens and girls (and here is nothing wrong with that) and for being interested in style and looks but there was always a substance to them and above all great songs
