Could not believe AC/DC has never been on the cover! A true, real rock band of all the times that hasn’t split up, comeback or reinvent them selves.. Standing in the real test of time, there’s only two: Rolling Stones and AC/DC! They have time, they don’t compromise, they’re alive. Good on ya mates!

I’ve been reading some really great reviews of the tour so far. I have front row seats on the Dec 18 Charlotte show and know I will not be disappointed! As Stephen King once said about first hearing Elvis, I will probably smile so wide my head will snap off at the ears and roll onto the floor!

Saw AC/DC in Chicago last night with my 10 year old son….almost 27 years to the day that I saw them at the same venue on the For Those About To Rock tour. About time RS got back to music and off of Nobama!

Well Hells Bells, Rolling Stone finally puts the greatest Rock N Roll Band ever on its cover. This band has outsold every other band on the planet other than the Beatles over the past few years and haven’t even released an album in 8 years! With the 2nd greatest selling rock album of all time, and over 200 million albums sold worldwide and 35 years of showing everyone else how its done, it’s about time that Rolling Stone has finally recognized one of the most influential rock bands of the last quarter century. It’s like putting out a religious mag every month for 35 years and never spotlighting the pope! Long live rock n roll and AC/DC.

I like to say if you don’t like trashy rock n’ roll, well then you just don’t like rock n’ roll. Black Ice Baby…..You never know when your gonna crash… that’s rock n’ roll.

Peter | 10/29/2008, 7:51 pm EST

Their first cover? Rolling Stone really is the pulse of music.

Where’s Cliff and Phil? Kind of important members of the band.

DeadHorse | 10/29/2008, 7:16 pm EST

Why do you guys continue to let Matt Taibbi write for you guys? As long as you let him write for you, I’ll never run out of toilet paper….

Skooly Wah | 10/29/2008, 5:08 pm EST

Yes! Finally! A news story about Mexico and the drug lords taking over that country - just the kind of article I wanted to read. Plus that AC/DC cover story ain’t bad either.

YES! | 10/29/2008, 2:55 pm EST

At last a rock and roll cover to be proud of!

Joe | 10/29/2008, 1:26 pm EST

Hopefully this trend will continue with W. Axl Rose and then U2

Lucy | 10/29/2008, 1:18 pm EST

First Metallica, now AC/DC. Is RS finally turning back to a real music magazine?!!! Le gasp.

Khandi | 10/29/2008, 1:14 pm EST

Rock is Back!!!!

Denton | 10/29/2008, 10:41 am EST

Wait, a REAL rock band on the cover? A real musical talent? No naked teenagers or Obama worship?

Who replaced Rolling Stone with Paste magazine????
