Josh Groban totally rocked that song. It took some serious guts to do it and he nailed it!

Are you for real? Josh Groban and his operatic baritone vocals just doesn’t sound appropriate for that Disarm song. That version actually sounds awful. He has a great voice, but not for rock and roll. I don’t know why SP chose him to sing that song. If I was in the audience, I know that I would’ve been pissed being that Disarm is one of SP’s best songs and it was mashed.

I’m wondering what did Groban think when he was asked to do this … “WTF, sure”, was probably the answer.
maybe there was hesitation. maybe not.
gotta love the guts. and the rendition. I can appreciate the purist’s angst.

Josh Groban totally earned my respect, after that amazing medley he performed at this years Emmy awards…. Look for it on YouTube if you havent seen it.

It’s nice to hear a different type of song from Josh. To be honest, this is the first time I’ve heard this song, so I didn’t have anything to compare it to… I liked it!

I quite liked it and actually enjoyed this interpretation.

Josh Groban seriously got my respect after the Emmys for just being the best laugh. Plus his new stuff will apparently be produced in part by Rick Rubin which will be pretty damn cool. Lately he’s worked with the likes of Sting, Smashing Pumpkins, Herbie Hancock, Immy Heap, Angelique Kidjo, Brian McKnight, amongst others. Anyone who thinks this guy hasn’t got some serious musical chops is a total snob and more narrow minded musically than they claim he is.
Groban's #1 fan on my street | 10/29/2008, 12:22 am EST
I wouldn’t say Groban is my type of music… that said every live performance I see I am hooked and every interview I see I think to my self “Self, that man might sing operatic, but dang if he ain’t too shabby.” Talent is talent, Groban has it.
Why is there a new story with no news on Chinese Democracy?

I think Josh would be a great replacement for Robert Plant in the forthcoming Led Zep tour.
