Undoubtedly one of the best rock singers on the planet! Wasn’t he offered the position and declined? That’s what I heard.

They should take a look at Lonny Rice w/ No Quarter. He sounds just like Robert Plant and has been touring all over the states since march of this year. I’ve seen them perform several times and he is amazing! There are qutie a few No Quarter youtube vids posted from there live performances just search for No Quarter Seattle to check him out.

I have the idea candidate for the replacement singer for Robert Plant. His name is Phil Naro. You can’t put someone like Great White’s singer in there. Or the Wilsons. It isn’t just about posing, vocal range, and hard rock. Plant is an engaging, thoughtful, playful, inventive leader. Totally different thing. No, no. I agree with the Ornette Coleman idea, if only to stress that new ground should be broken.

I’ve been saying for awhile that Paul McCartney would fit in nicely. I mean, I know that may sound jarring, but he’s got a lot of those endearing qualities that a band, and an audience, need. He’ll write lyrics that have meaning. He won’t be fazed, he’ll fit in, and he loves being in a band. He and Jones could swap on bass/keyboards.

If there’s anybody who comes close to Plant, it definitely IS Jamesnorthernva. The Virtual Zeppelin covers are stunning anyway, but this guy really makes the difference to all other cover bands on the net.
By the way, Lez Zeppelin are great, too. Thanks for bringing them in here.
