On a recent whrilwind tour of New York that included performances on The Late Show With David Letterman and Saturday Night Live as well as their own show at Webster Hall, Rolling Stone’s Austin Scaggs caught up with the band in the wake of the release of their excellent new album Only By the Night. “We were worried about tonight,” said drummer Nathan Followill of the group’s Webster Hall show, “but I just got a text from my mom that said we were gonna be awesome.
