That list is horrible! Rockband really needs to get it together and put better music out if things dont change my rockband career is over. Whomever is in charge of talent for this game should be FIRED for putting such a week crap filled list that only impresses people with no real talent at the game. Meaning those who can not play on expert difficulty. I understand that i can not like every song but rockband has only 5 songs total between downloads and everything else that are good the rest can be done without. Hopefully soon they will get someone new in there to get better music. OH and maybe they can fix there hammer ons cause they play horribly game plays like part 1 why did you not fix problems in game play well anyways rb 2 is a pourly made game no though put into it just a company trying to get in on the music video game era..

I admit I have never herd these song’s BUT just because there not on the radio constantly, to fry your brain with the usual crap doesn’t mean it sucks.. I liked playing some of the unknown named band’s on part one and two. And rock band has the best download content available for any rock game. Besides these are free downloads 104 songs for 60.00 that’s a steal and part 2 has a great lineup. Plus my 360 instrument’s will work with Guitar hero world tour. It’s a win win. the FREE downloads will only broaden my music library and I might find a new favorite band.

I was hoping for some better tracks as well, rather than a bunch of unknowns. But it’s pretty lame to complain about something that’s FREE.
On the other hand I think the DLC has been weak for awhile…where are the Kinks? Pink Floyd? Black Sabbath?

If new artists need exposure, there’s the internet, mtv, fuse, vh1, and radio. Please don’t make me play the songs of bands that might not be here by the time rockband3 comes out. They’re free downloads, it makes perfect sense why they’d pick up and coming bands. Hardly anyone except hardcore fans of these bands would purchase these songs.

Oh my god! You guys are such a bunch of whiners….SamIAm, ever played GHA? (guitar hero aerosmith) Give that one a try and then complain about RB1/2 game play, it’s not comparison, RB has the ULTIMATE game play set-up, got a problem with the hammer-ons, ever consider maybe you just really suck!? I come from a group with an expert guitarist, bassist, drummer and singer, I play ALL the instruments and expert on Guitar/Bass and Vocals…Pretty bad at the drumming but you don’t see me complaining about the game play because I can’t do it, jeeze, man up and take some responsibility and seriously, play GHA and cry to someone else about game play. Besides that, NO when you paid for the game that is all you bought, the bonus free songs are FREE, duh…they didn’t have to, 80 songs is plenty for a game release and you guys complain? Not to mention anyone foolish enough to not give new music a try is just plain stupid, you think you’ve found all the music you love and will not love anything else? that’s pretty pathetic and shows a real lack of musical diversity, not to mention skill, taste, maturity, brain cells and adaptability. Also, you’ll find that some of these songs will grow on you, or perhaps your stubborn and set in your sad little ways…but please STFU about downing RB1/2 they are the BEST, look in the mirror next time you wanna play the blame game.

P.S. Heartbreaker22…Did you not see The Who and The Guess Who…they are OLD! Kansas, etc. etc. They have a good song selection on RB 2 and props for them adding AFI Girls Not Grey. Not to mention….who doesn’t love Carry On Wayward Son? AND they added the ability to have online members in your band, Heck yeah! and many other COOL features, like Battle of the Bands, I think it’s awesome.

I understand that they are trying to get the word out about bands nobody cares about, but its disappointing to the fans when you have tracks that nobody wants to play. But then again they are quote unquote “free”. But you get what you pay for comes into play here. And we get a steaming pile of crap. If they wanted to impress me, then have a list with some Slayer, Pantera, Audioslave, SlipKnot, OASIS, Van Halen, hell even throw in some more Metallica or Hendrix. When are they gonna get it? Fans don’t wanna play any of these tracks. They want songs they know, by Bands they know, and Bands that include music Icons. They wanna know how it feels to play Eruption or Whole Lotta Love in thier own virtual world. I’ve been wondering what the tracks were for months. Being excited to play awesome songs. Now I’m just disappointed beyond belief. Looks like I’m getting some microsoft points to get some “Significantly Better” tracks. Maybe next time Harmonix….maybe next time.

The tracks don’t have to be free but at least listen to the fans and put em up for download in the marketplace (360). I remember filling out a survey b4 I got my 20 downloads code, and asked what I would like to see in the near future on RB. So if they read these and see that “oh lots of fans want Zepplin, and The Beatles and Slayer” then make em happy and do it!
