Lil Wayne is planning on re-releasing his platinum-selling Tha Carter III with a bunch of brand new songs, Weezy revealed at this weekend’s BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta. While giving his acceptance speech after winning the ceremony’s Lyricist of the Year Award, Wayne shared some more good news with the audience: He’s expecting his first son soon. “I got a son about to be born any day now, so shout-out to him. Pray for me,” the MC told the crowd. Weezy also picked up the night’s People Champ Award and performed with T-Pain and Ludacris on a pair of songs. As for the TC3 reissue, Wayne promises the bonus cuts are not part of the anticipated Tha Carter IV, which the rapper is also working on.
