Ne-Yo will attempt to become music’s newest renaissance man when he stars in, executive produces and soundtracks the upcoming film Venice Beach. The musical drama centers around a talented, emotionally-scarred woman who attempts to sing again after encountering a Venice Beach musician, which will be played by Ne-Yo. Venice won’t be Ne-Yo’s first foray into acting, as the Year of the Gentleman singer has appeared in Stomp The Yard, Save the Last Dance 2 and soap opera All My Children. The film will be directed by music video extraordinaire Paul Hunter.
