Jim James’ stage fall in Iowa last week has forced My Morning Jacket to cancel their planned European tour. James is still recovering from the injuries he suffered after slipping from the stage during a show in Iowa City, Iowa. “Our hope was to merely postpone the tour,” MMJ said in a statement regarding their European jaunt, “but as our scheduling does not allow that to happen in the immediate future, we feel it is best to cancel this tour in hopes of re-scheduling at some point.” The tour was scheduled to begin October 29th in Dublin. My Morning Jacket are still scheduled to play a pair of shows December 27 and 28 in Chicago and are booked to play New York’s Madison Square Garden on New Year’s Eve.

Im so thankful that I got to see MMJ before Jim’s accident. Hopefully Jim will have a full recovery and get back to melting our face’s.

15 years and only 14 tracks ? Axl could have put out a boxed set of new material in all that time. I hope this album was worth the wait, and it better be the most EPIC album I’ve ever heard since it took 15 damn years.
