Earlier in the week, Ringo Starr announced he would no longer be responding to fan mail or providing autographs to seekers. The stance triggered an immediate backlash, and Starr had to go into damage control mode almost immediately. He clarified that he wouldn’t be giving his signature out to people who put his autograph up for sale on the Internet, though reader Paul (we’re assuming it’s not McCartney) suggested Starr reach back into his past for a solution: “I think it was the ‘I’m too busy for you’ tone of the video that fueled some of the negative reaction. Maybe he could have Pete Best help him with his workload and pay him handsomely for it.” Though Best’s band just put out a new album, who couldn’t use a little extra Beatles scratch?

I’m only 15, and been inspired by his and The Beatles music, and it sounds to me he almost wants to forget about his fans and his past by his video? But I don’t Know

Have a look at funnyordie . co . uk – it seems he’s retracted this statement (a great parody!)

i think ringo starr is an ungrateful piece of crap to ask his loyal fans to stop mailing him. its such a dispointment to see successful artists like himself turn his back on those who have put him where he is today!!!

Да, действительно в этом что-то такое есть. А раньше я ведь был довольно наивен :) Ну что ж – времена изменились :)
