I was at the show about 3 feet away from where he went down. They were finishing a wicked version of “Off The Record” and Jim was at the front of the stage when the lights went out and he slipped off onto a row of bass cabinets that lined the front of the stage. The guys in front of me were able to help him back onto the stage and he was able to limp off.

two years ago, when I was turning 60, I tripped on an on-stAGE PLATFORM, fell about 3 feet to the asphalt, landed on a conga player, did not break my guitar, got help from all the young musicians around me, and was fine the next day, my daughter and granddaughters witnesses this feat, and thought I was a goner, but I was taken care of by the Great One when I could not care for myself.
