AC/DC Expand Tour, Announce “Rock Band” Package

9/30/08, 11:08 am EST

AC/DC fans in Florida finally have reason to rejoice: The band’s Black Ice tour has been extended into the New Year, with the band coming to the Sunshine State, the Sooner State, the Cornhusker State and a bunch more additional markets the band skipped over during the first leg of their tour. The band kickstart the fun with their first U.S. show in eight years on October 28th in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The additional 16 concert dates for the Black Ice jaunt are below.

In other AC/DC news, the band will lend 18 songs to AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack. The stand-alone game will be playable on both Rock Band and Rock Band 2 and will feature live versions of hits like “Thunderstruck,” “Highway to Hell” and “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.” The full track list is below. The game will be released this December and, like Black Ice, will be available exclusively at Wal-Mart. The game will be available on November 2nd on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2 and on November 16th for Wii — the PS2 version runs $29.98, the rest cost $39.98.

Sweet. Rock Band 2 is an awesome game. I can’t wait to import these songs into my game.

and why haven’t they come out with a greatest hit’s album? That track list is pretty rad.

Jungleland2 | 10/1/2008, 8:22 am EST

No greatest hits for the same reason they don’t do itunes or singles. They consider themselves and album band (and sell WAY more Back in Black and Highway To Hell albums when there is no best of record out there)

Great point Jungleland2 – you hit the nail on the head! Who can blame ‘em???

Thanks AC/DC for adding Dallas to your tour!

bob pridden | 10/1/2008, 11:08 am EST

live stuff sucks. we want original studio versions. brian sounds like he’s pushing his colon out of his body when he screeches. not worth my money.

I’m planning on getting AC/DC tickets for the Dallas show. I hope I get online in time before they sell out, because if other shows are selling out fast, Dallas probably will as well.

Yay Wall Mart exclusive! Good on you ACDC.

what | 10/6/2008, 1:08 pm EST

wal mart sucks. they demand products be censored/altered before they will carry a la ‘rape me’ became ‘waif me’ blah blah blah. . . .

AMERICA FUCK YEAH!

Forty friggin dollars for acdc that is crap if you buy this you are stupid that is a waste of money and a joke i just lost all respect for acdc and rockband 2 that is dumb that game is done iam tossing it im sick of that shit for this money hungry game company…..

NeverMind | 10/30/2008, 10:41 pm EST

Hey Samiam, why don’t you tell us how you really feel? LOL
For me personally, this is a must buy, whether it’s at walmart or not. And whether it’s 30 bucks or not. I have the live CD that these songs are from and I can’t wait to play that shit in my livingroom. Have a listen to Jailbreak (14:43 on the disc) and tell me you wouldn’t want to play that! I have heard however, that the band animation is just generic and not that of AC/DC. If that’s true, that’ll blow. Although the GH-Aerosmith sucks, the animation of the band is great. Whatever the case, I’m still gonna buy it and I’m still gonna enjoy it!! :)
