Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour paid tribute to late keyboardist Rick Wright last night on the BBC’s Late Night…With Jools Holland. Gilmour and his band performed Floyd’s “Remember A Day,” a track from A Saucerful of Secrets written and originally sung by Wright. Following the performance, Gilmour sat down with Holland to discuss Wright’s legacy. “He was a very self-effacing but very talented, lovely chap. We’re incredibly sad to have lost him,” Gilmour said. Wright died last week after a brief bout with cancer. He was 65. Check out Gilmour’s performance of “Remember A Day” above.
