Kings of Leon Craft Epic Fourth Album

9/23/08, 6:17 pm EST

Today marks the release of the new Kings of Leon album Only By the Night, the latest epic in the always-evolving band’s career. Though the Tennessee band has always had more success overseas (they’ve sold twice as many albums in the U.K. as in the U.S.), frontman Caleb Followill hopes that this album will be the one that cements them in their home country. “I’m sick of being big everywhere else,” he says. “For America to kind of turn its back on us is heartbreaking.” Click below for more on Kings of Leon, including a behind-the-scenes look at the making of their killer new video “Sex on Fire.”

Nothing against new bands, apecially Kings Of Leon, but damn…what the fuck is up with them clothes man? fucking ridiculous CK models, not rockers.
And aren’t you guys all sick of the damn emo oversized bangs hairstyle? fuck…

Great band though.

two good songs!!!! kings get better and better with every album. because of times was a massive leap forward and only by the night cements their status as one of the best bands in the world. ‘use somebody’ is their best song to date. we in the uk get this, the us look like they are finally starting to get it to thankfully. cant wait to see them again in december.

All four albums are exceptional. The Kings continue to grow displaying their vast talent with this release. The Followill’s live performance is second to none. Quite simply, the Kings of Leon are a special band.

These guys are f-in kick ass!!!

I love “Because of the Times” Their best album ever! Every song is great. Arizona is an amazing track… The guitar gives me chills!

(I guess that makes me a “monkey balls” lover…anonymous!!)

Their best yet. Less catchy but more mature.

Greatest band on earth?

Well… yeah… but then again I’m European, so that’s nothing new :)

Great record but ... | 9/24/2008, 8:58 pm EST

these guys have the skinniest chick legs I’ve ever seen on a southern rock band.

I liked these gents from the beginning, and I think the new song they’ve got here is o.k. I can’t really judge the video, but then again I don’t think anything can be judged well off you-tube. I didn’t care much for the last album, but Youth & Young Manhood and Aha Shake Heartbreak were fine. This sounds a little different, but I’m always willing to give them a listen.

Lame rock douches with scarves…get to the temple boys.

Monkey Balls | 9/24/2008, 1:02 pm EST

…are quite succulent.

Jughead | 9/24/2008, 12:57 pm EST

Hey U.K. people: how about we make you guys a trade. We’ll offer you the Kings of Leon and you give us Radiohead. What do you say? Now if we can get the bands to agree to relocate, that’s another story….

They obviously peaked with Aha Shake Heartbreak good stuff live when they opened for U2, but Because of the Times and Only By the Night just prove to me they have shot their collective load

3 stars for an album with two good songs on it? Really? I was excited for this to come out, but God it sucks.
