David Cook will descend into the Superunknown for the first single from his debut album, having selecting a song co-written by Chris Cornell. “Light On,” penned by Cornell and Hinder producer Brian Howes, is currently on AOL and will hit iTunes on September 30th. Cook’s still-untitled album is due out November 18th. Meanwhile, Cornell will continue to poke his Badmotorfinger into the realm of pop music when he and new album collaborator Timbaland embark on a West Coast tour, with the duo performing Cornell’s upcoming Scream in its entirety.
