“Comfortably Numb” is definitely not the best Pink Floyd song of all time, just maybe the most overplayed.

Fat Old Sun from the album More is wonderfully evocative. Trouble is, Pink Floyd have made 100 great tracks and no-one will ever agree on the best 10. I wouldn’t have more than 3 or 4 of those chosen – and I go back to the very beginning, having seen Floyd play small gigs in London in the 1960’s.

I think Echoes should be number one. But how could Hey You not make the list?

I really wished Atom Heart Mother would be on this list, but good songs over all

Shine On should be #1… it is the perfect Pink Floyd song, with huge contributions from each of the band members, and lyrically it pays homage to Syd.

Echoes should be #2. After that, you can make a good case for many songs, but it’s strange that neither Hey You or One of These Days made the list.

And I can’t believe Summer of ‘68 is on that list.

Don’t kid yourself. Comfortably Numb IS the best floyd song. The guitar and lyrics flow so well and evoke such emotion. It touches so many people in so many ways. The guitar solos have been voted the best solos ever by Guitar Magazine.

This is such a terrible list. Comfortably Numb as the top song? No way. That’s not even a very good song, much less their best. Whoever made this doesn’t seem to realize the Floyd has more albums than Dark Side, the wall, animals and WYWH. Here are some songs that should be added:

One of these days
Echoes
Cymbaline
When you’re in
Mudmen
Pretty much anything from Animals, and the first half of The Wall. The second disk is pretty awful.
