George Michael was arrested this weekend after he was caught in a London restroom using a “small amount” of crack cocaine and marijuana. Michael received a cautionary warning and was released after he admitted his guilt. No further legal action is expected, said a spokesperson for Scotland Yard. Interestingly enough, the arrest comes on the ten-year anniversary of the last time Michael was arrested for acting indecently in a public bathroom: In 1998, Michael was busted in a men’s room at Los Angeles’ Will Rogers Memorial Park for “engaging in a lewd act.” More recently, Michael had found himself in trouble with drugs when he was found passed out in his car on three different occasions in 2006. He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs the next year and was banned from being behind the wheel for two years. In a statement released via his publicist today, Michael said, “I want to apologize to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them
I’ll sort myself out. And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them.”

He lost his credibility a long time ago. Lies, Lies, Lies…should have come out and told the truth from the beginning because look at all the embarrassing things he’s gotten caught doing in public over the years since the denials. He can’t even produce a “hit” in the USA. Maybe he should come back as Michelle Georgette?

,,,,,,mmmmm, not really. Telling the “truth” way back when he started would have doomed his career. Hollywood and the music scene has rarely been kind to “out and proud” performers. Im not a fan of this guy, but you have not payed attention to this guys past achievments, here and abroad. And Michelle Georgette? C’mon Mike, is that the best you can do?

Elton John was “out” there before George Michael became famous. In fact – EJ enjoyed a tremendous renewed success, spanning from the mid eighties till beyond the beginning of the New Milenium. Being “out” didn’t exactly hurt EJ – he even married a real female for a time, though it wass “an arrangement”. It hasn’t exactly kept Little Richard from becoming a popular and profable touring artist during the past 20 years. I could name many others that are OUT; Boy George to name another, even though he’s stumbled. The 80’s were not the dark ages. George Michael is his own worst enemy, period.

,,,,looks like someone has done there homework, welldone. But the how many records do you think litte George Micheal/Wham would have sold if the world knew he wanted his boyfriend to wake him up before he go-goed? Probably not many. And speaking of Elton and Boy George, they have had some massive success, but where are they now? Fans and media have made a laughing stock of these guys.

George Michael Forever, EJ too

I am still perplexed as to why Georges bedroom antics are of such interest to everyone. Bottom line, gay or not, George is a brilliant musician. I have been a faitful fan for 25 years, and had he came out in the 80’s it would have made no difference to me. I don’t continue to be loyal to him based on his sexual preference. Many, many celebrities have trouble with drugs and alcohol. I imagine that celebrity status is quite taxing at times, and truth be told we ALL find ways to self medicate. I pray that George seeks help for his addiction, if in fact thats what it is, I would like to see him healthy and happy for many more years to come. Long live GM!!!

Furthermore, George never denied being gay, he simply never commented on the subject and the public drew their own conclusions.

George Michael is a decent performer, not a bad talent, but the man has a problem with public restrooms, apparently they bring out the freak in him.Georgie baby, keep it at home…
