Despite the fact that the 2008 version of the MTV Video Music Awards made a nice splash in the ratings this year, the show as a whole managed to receive some mixed reactions. Once glance at the mountain of comments during our live blog to see the range of reactions. But there was one poster in particular (who aptly called himself Duped) who summed up the sadness and trainwreckness of the show: “Isn’t Demi Moore a little old for this? She should be off somewhere taking Centrum tablets.” Perhaps that’s why she forgot her microphone and then acted as though she had never been on live TV before — she was calcium deficient!
