Rob Zombie Completes Work on Long-Awaited White Zombie Box Set

9/9/08, 3:51 pm EST

Rob Zombie has finally finished work on the long-delayed White Zombie box set. The set will house five discs: four dedicated to over four and half hours of music, while the fifth disc will house “tons of never before seen videos,” Zombie said in a MySpace post. As for the music, Zombie said “All I can say is boy the early shit is whacked. I haven’t heard some of these songs in over twenty years. I don’t know what the hell we were thinking.” No release date has been announced yet, but Zombie said “…it shouldn’t be much longer. I’m pretty you’ll be getting [it] under your Christmas tree.” When we talked to Zombie last December about the box set, he told us not to hold our breath, saying “I’m not real big on going back and repackaging the past.” At least we can exhale now.

“I’m not real big on going back and repackaging the past.” unless my last movie which was a bad re-imagination of a classic horror/suspense film which shoots my film before that in the foot cause people thought I was becoming a better director tanks, then I am all for the selling of my past. I would like to see the specs defined a little better before I put that under my Christmas tree, I would hate to have another Nirvana box set laying around (and I am a HUGE Nirvana fan just thought what they offered could have been better).

Halloween didn’t tank. It made a shit ton of money. So what the hell are you talking about? You obviously do not know.
