I listen to all types of music. When I heard that Jessica Simpson had put out a Country album, I listened. She has great vocals and she wrote every song on the album. I liked it! Folks who immediately dismiss her don’t have a love for music. We are so quick to judge others….Listen to the words. You may enjoy it.

Poor Jessica. I think her teeth are getting in the way of singing REAL Country Music. She needs to take advantage of her God given body, continue to make commercials and posing so she can make enough money when she loses her God given

I’m a huge country music fan, and you couldn’t pay me enough to walk into a store and give this album a listen, let alone purchase it. Country fans appreciate intelligence & sincerity in their artists - Jessica Simpson is neither of these things, it’s insulting that she can’t make it as a christian artist or pop star, so she’s resorting to doing a country album….and yelling is NOT singing. If she thinks she’s going to sail to the top of the charts, she’s out of her mind.

I got to admit, to my surprise, that the song in the background in the video review was actually good. That doesn’t mean I’m going to run out and buy the album. I am not going to dismiss outright like I would her previous pop albums.

However, if Jessica Simpson could successfully cross-over into Country music. It does demonstrate what a lot of long-time country music fans know. Contemporary Country music sucks!!! Basically, it’s pop music with country music arrangement with lyrics about trailers and trucks. Also about loving your country and redneck roots. It’s all mindless pandering and pablum. Real country music about writing and singing about what you know with heart, soul, and conviction.
