• The music world was saddened by the passing of Dave Matthews Band saxophonist LeRoi Moore. The band started a memorial fund in his honor, Blues Traveler’s John Popper and Crash producer Steve Lillywhite paid their respects, and we dedicated a Rock List to his music.

• Nestled within our Bush-bashing new issue, Ra Ra Riot, Lykke Li and Low Vs Diamond were named among the up-and-coming acts in this year’s crop of Artists to Watch.
