8/19/08, 11:24 am EST

A dozen of the biggest female stars in music will band together for a charity single to benefit cancer fundraising. “Just Stand Up” will feature Rihanna, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Carrie Underwood, Ashanti, Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, LeAnn Rimes, Ciara and Keyshia Cole all getting their “We Are the World” on in an effort to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer, a new initiative to help raise money for accelerating ground-breaking cancer research. Adding to the parade of talent are Babyface and Antonio “L.A.” Reid, who both produced the song. The premiere TV performance will be simulcast on ABC, CBS and NBC during an hour-long fund-raising event to be aired on September 5th. The single itself will be available on iTunes starting September 2nd, but you’ll have to wait until the broadcast to actually see Mary J. and Miley sharing a microphone.
