I will not buy this because Walmart Buys ALL THEIR STUFF From CHINA then slaps a made in the usa sticker on it. All you singing walmarts praises. that is why the economy is so bad us manufactures can not compete with china and walmart feeds that so AMERICAN jobs are going to CHINA. Thats why walmarts prices are so low that and they dont provide any retirement and crappy health care. BUY REAL AMERICAN products dont shop at WALMART and the economy will pick up

Reason | 9/19/2008, 2:47 pm EST

Walmart is the biggest employer of working class people. If it wasn’t for Walmart, these folks would have no job. Walmart treats their employees very fairly. There are some really backwards thinkers out there who have left comments. Not everyone makes the decision to work hard and get a great education for a top earning job. Walmart provides good jobs and I’ll bet that you can ask actual employees about that!

Looks like this will be the first AC/DC album that I won’t buy. I would rather (expletive delete) than go to WalMart.

TK/Oberursel | 9/13/2008, 10:31 pm EST

I bought every album since I listened to my first AC/DC album in 1979 (“High Voltage”, thanks to Helge Arnold!). I’ll be getting this one, too, although I’m not really convinced by “Rock’n’Roll Train”. I can’t quite make up my mind about this song: On one hand, it sounds a bit worn out, there’s nothing new to it, nothing fresh. On the other hand, that’s what I like most about the song: AC/DC remains the same, no matter what happens. They sound alike for so many years now. AC/DC never reinvented themselves like many other bands did, they never changed their style.
To my mind, the last AC/DC album that really kicked ass was “For those about to rock”. Nevertheless, I’ll buy the new album, too, for one simple reason: I want to be able to sing along each and every song when I’m at the concert. Although I hope they’ll play the old songs, I’ll be fine anyways: The next tour will probably be their last tour, and I’m thankful for the music they gave to me and all of us during the last 30+ years, so I’ll salute and have a drink on them.
I’m eager to see them in concert in Germany for the third and maybe last time in my life. I’ll be there with some friends, having a good time.
LONG LIVE ROCK’N’ROLL!

Sellouts! | 9/12/2008, 10:31 am EST

You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for such a pathetic money grab as selling your CD exclusively to the #1 shitty corporation in America. The people who bust their ass at Wal-Mart, good working class Americans who live in poverty cause scumbag corporations like Wal-Mart pay pennies and keep these people at the bottom, are the ones who listen to your music. You think any of the Walton family jams AC/DC while they play tennis in their backyards and fly around on their private jets? It’s the folks who bust ass their everyday, get screwed out of their overtime, have no health care, no representation, often times live outta their cars, cause this company keeps it that way. And it’s guys like YOU, AC/DC, that help do what they do. I have been a fan all my LIFE!! I have seen you in concert, I have bought all your albums, but not this one. You guys have sung and rocked out about a little bit of evil over your time, all in the good spirit of rock and roll, but now you have actually gotten into bed with the DEVIL. Write a song about that, you Jerkoffs!

Simply the Best | 9/12/2008, 10:15 am EST

AC/DC is simply the best Rock & Roll Band of ALL Time, with Boston, Scorpions, Molly Hatchett, Blackfoot trailing not too far back behind them.
Many speakers have been blown out from cranking their High Powered music to past the limits.

Disapointed | 9/12/2008, 10:10 am EST

I am a huge AC/CD fan, but will not be getting this one. The deal with Wal-Mart is BS. I’m not saying they shouldn’t have sold it in Wal-Mart, I understand the business sense of that, but an exclusive deal with a Mega-Corporation that is the number 1 employer of working class people in the country, and treats them like crap is unbelievable. These are the people who actually listen to AC/DC, who work their ass off all day long for these scumbags, and go home, have some beers, put on AC/DC and try to forget about their troubles. SHAME on you AC/DC. I wonder what your fellow Australians, who have a strong and thriving Labor Movement, think of your sell-out money grab.

who the fuck cares | 8/25/2008, 11:03 pm EST

The lyrics and titles have never really mattered. If the guitar hook gets ya then thats what counts, cuz they’ve always wrote about tongue and cheek sex lyrics anyway. They do what they do best, so you gotta give credit where credit is due!!!

Maddie, duh | 8/25/2008, 10:30 am EST

oh hellz yeah, it’s about time AC/DC came out with another album… can’t wait to see what all my friends think. AC/DC is the best band ever and they truly represent the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll itself.

Trump | 8/20/2008, 5:41 pm EST

what would you do? Let’s see - We’ll give 20 million now or you can go to the indies and see what happens.

Screw it - I’m on vacation.

Crackerman33 | 8/20/2008, 10:51 am EST

They ’sell-out’ to Wal Mart because those places pre order the CDs so ACDC just guaranteed their album going triple platinum. You try selling an album when it can be downloaded for free on the internet.

Jungleland | 8/20/2008, 9:55 am EST

All of the indies will send someone to Wal-Mart to buy it for $11.88 and they will sell it for $15.00. So will Amazon resellers. what do you think the wholesale cost to an indie store is anyway? It was $10 a Cd in 1997 when I owned a store, had to have gone up since.

joe | 8/19/2008, 4:02 pm EST

whoever said they should sell it in the independent store instead is stupid! Yea ok, then it would be like 18 dollars. sorry, but like anyone else with common sense im buying it where its the cheapest.

Rock and Roll | 8/19/2008, 3:58 pm EST

I think they need more tunes about Rock and Roll:

1. “Rock ‘N Roll Train”
11. “She Likes Rock ‘N Roll”
13. “Rock N Roll Dream”
14. “Rocking All the Way”

Padraig | 8/19/2008, 2:23 pm EST

New Album, can’t hardly wait to Hear the Greatest Rock-n-Roll Machine start up again……..Let there be Rock!!!!!

ronramone | 8/19/2008, 2:11 pm EST

Wal-mart??? Way to support huge mega-corporations AC/DC!!! You should be selling it in independent record stores only.
I guess “Money Talks”.

rocker | 8/19/2008, 7:45 am EST

props to acdc for keeping the spirit of rock alive.
these guys play with GUTS AND HEART and i can’t wait to hear black ice which already is receiving praise.
god bless SHRED KING ANGUS YOUNG!
I WISH THIS ALBUM WOULD ERASE ALL THE RAP HIP HOP crap from this world!

BEN | 8/18/2008, 10:28 pm EST

Honestly good ol’ heavy metal bands such as AC/DC, Metallica, Black Sabbath, etc. should work more on their new album covers. Compared to what they had twenty years ago, this looks like a crap.

Jungleland2 | 8/18/2008, 7:09 pm EST

hey “stupid ACDC” go listen to Coldplay ya wanker!

BA | 8/18/2008, 5:56 pm EST

who cares where you buy it, i cant believe that matters. i mean if they charged double and then sold it at only one place then yea you got beef but jeezus who gives a shit. if you actually like ACDC then it probably wont matter to you where you buy it.

black bottom | 8/18/2008, 5:43 pm EST

AC/DC is an irresistable blend of order and chaos. Excellence and idiocy. I burn with suspense to hear how they work the formula this time.

Let's hope it's not a turkey | 8/18/2008, 4:48 pm EST

Looking back at AC/DC’s catalogue for the past 10 years, AC/DC’s been pretty notorious for handing out (let’s face it) crap. I imagine Bon Scott was rolling in his grave then, but hopefully with Black Ice he will roll no more.

ric | 8/18/2008, 4:46 pm EST

what the hell does cobain have to do with anything

Cobain | 8/18/2008, 4:42 pm EST

Arch, you have more of a bone-on for me than Michael Stipe did. And AC/DC rocks.

SonkLonk2004. | 8/18/2008, 4:37 pm EST

I can’t wait for this album. AC/DC are one of the only bands of their day that still do it the same aswell as Motorhead. Judas Priest’s new album was not very good and let’s face it Iron Maiden are still good but have not been the same in many years. If AC/DC were to change they would be called sell-outs. I don’t think it would matter what they did their will always be people that it won’t be good enough for one reason or another. Like the old sayin goes DAMNED IF YOU DO DAMNED IF YOU DON’T. I have been a fan for over 20 years and I will be buying it and turning it up very LOUD.

alx | 8/18/2008, 4:16 pm EST

YEEEEEEEEESH!!!!!!

Arch Stanton | 8/18/2008, 3:45 pm EST

Long Live Cobain….

mitch | 8/18/2008, 3:40 pm EST

I was at the recording of the New Video and even though it was “mimed” for the video.
Between takes Brian did sing for us and his voice sounds GREAT.

And if you don’t believe i was at the video shoot. Then how will i know there will be Giant cogs and Gear wheels on the stage behind Phil on Drums and around the band including Flames and CO2. Watch this space. ;-)

chris | 8/18/2008, 3:17 pm EST

who cares what you think?

Sorry | 8/18/2008, 2:40 pm EST

never cared much for AC/DC… always thought their music was overrated juvenile bs…

Dale | 8/18/2008, 2:01 pm EST

These guys have more rock and roll talent and experience than all the so called rock bands out today combined in one of their pinky fingers….so bow down

Sesame Chicken | 8/18/2008, 2:01 pm EST

Choo Chooo! All aboard the Rock ‘N Roll Train! Next stop…. Wal-Mart Station… LOL. AC/DC need some more songs with “Rock ‘N Roll” in its title on this album. There aren’t enough.

Rickie | 8/18/2008, 1:49 pm EST

Brians voice sounds great and better now than it did on stif uper lip album is what the fans said that was at the video shoot for rock n roll train.

bob pridden | 8/18/2008, 1:43 pm EST

i hope the best for these guys, being the legends that they are. but jon g. is right, brian’s voice sounds like he’s struggling to take a dump. all the growl has been gone for years. that’s the key to this release…can you put up with brian’s voice?

Jon G. | 8/18/2008, 1:19 pm EST

How this disc does is really gonna depend on how much voice Brian had during recording…

Redwing | 8/18/2008, 12:45 pm EST

I can’t wait to her this new stuff!….I agree with ELantto, AC/DC is nothing more than a straight up rock n roll act, that’s all they’ve ever been. I’m about tired of some of the stuff out there that’s considered rock….. Not to say there aren’t current bands out that don’t rock hard and are great, but I think it’s time for that good’ol AC/DC arse kicking!!!

redwing | 8/18/2008, 12:35 pm EST

Can’t wait to hear this new stuff…I’m just about tired of some of the crap that gets pasted as rock. Don’t get mean, there there’s a bunch of bands out today that are trying to keep rock alive, but AC/DC knows how to give people a good’ol arse kicking!

ELantto | 8/18/2008, 12:17 pm EST

Certain bands were made just to rock. ACDC has and that’s all they ever will do. I can’t imagine this album will be weak. Rock N Roll people, it ain’t rocket science. Turn it up and go with it, quit trying to figure it out.

Gooch | 8/18/2008, 12:11 pm EST

The best part about AC/DC is knowing what you’re gonna get. It all might sound similar but no one does it better than AC/DC. This will no doubt be a mean rock record thats only meant to be blasted.

Iowa Fan | 8/18/2008, 12:10 pm EST

Tour dates! I want tour dates!

Marc | 8/18/2008, 12:01 pm EST

I guess it’s cool they are doing their thing still, but, how can anyone be anticipating new AC/DC studi material? Isn’t this the one band that hasn’t changed their sound at all since their initial inception?? They’ve basically just been re-writing the same song over and over for 30 years.

smeyer | 8/18/2008, 11:34 am EST

i don’t think this really gonna work.

everyone is exciting but this looks like they don’t cut the mustard anymore.

Anonymous | 8/18/2008, 11:26 am EST

Other than suing your own fans, I can’t really think of a less rock & roll gesture to make than only selling your CD at Wal-Mart. I suppose Track #12 says it all for these guys.

meatron1 | 8/18/2008, 11:09 am EST

THIS IS WHAT I’M TALKIN ABOUT!!!…..They may be all of 162 years old, but I get the feeling this album will be fierce!!! Big ups to AC/DC for waving the rock n roll flag high!

stupid AC/DC | 8/18/2008, 10:54 am EST

these guys were a blast,,,,,30 years ago,,,,,high school would not have been the same without them, but,,,,,take a look at the names of these songs, are they penned by a 13 year old?
