News Ticker: Queens of the Stone Age, Marilyn Manson, Sirius XM

  • Queens of the Stone Age will host a benefit concert to pay the outstanding medical bills of Eleven singer Natasha Shneider, who recently died of cancer. The concert, taking place tomorrow at Los Angeles’ Henry Fonda Theatre, also features PJ Harvey and Tenacious D.
  • Marilyn Manson has recruited former Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland for his band. Borland will make his debut with the band tonight at Seoul, Korea’s ETP Festival.
  • DMX was arrested in Miami after a bench warrant was issued against him after missing a court date in Phoenix, Arizona. DMX’s lawyer said the rapper intended on checking into rehab the day of his missed court date.
  • Following their merger, Sirius XM CEO Mel Karmazin revealed that the new company would eliminate some executive positions in an effort to cut costs. The company will also introduce some new products soon.
