Football season is mere weeks away, and with it comes the finest MC Hammer appearance in years. Hammer has been cast for one of ESPN’s new “Monday Night Football” commercials, where some guy dreams that he’s jamming on the keytar in the studio working with the “U Can’t Touch This” rapper. There’s not much more we can say about it other than it allows Hammer to say the immortal line, “Hold up, whose beeper keeps beepin’ and beepin’?” The ad also effectively uses the quote “Hammer don’t hurt ‘em,” so double points to ESPN.
