On the subject of My Morning Jacket leader Jim James’ facial hair, Abraham Froman contributes the following bit of genius:

“It is important to understand that the Book of Jobe says every time a mustache is shaved, an angel in heaven dies and falls to earth. At least, that is what we at the American Mustache Institute tell our students. Regardless, as the executive intern of the American Mustache Institute, we appreciate Jim’s effort to leave the life of a bearded American behind, and turn to the darker, yet more sophisticated side of the Mustached American. Indeed, he is now more powerful than ever before, and he no longer must put up with the “spousal compromise” that is the beard or goatee. God bless Jim, his mustache, and his people.”
