Billy Corgan Sues Filmmaker Over “Unsatisfactory” Footage

8/1/08, 9:40 am EST

Billy Corgan is suing a Chicago videographer that filmed the Smashing Pumpkins‘ leader’s solo shows and studio sessions from 2003 to 2005. In the suit, Corgan complains that the footage that filmmaker Lester Cohn of Pure DV Productions shot was “completely unsatisfactory,” that Cohn misrepresented his filmmaking expertise and that Cohn is now holding the tapes hostage. Corgan is seeking $100,000 plus all the video Cohn shot over that time and says he now wants to use the tapes to “create works in different media.” The Pumpkins have been in a litigious mood lately, as former members James Iha and D’Arcy recently filed a suit against Virgin Records over royalties.

Hey, when did Billy Corgan paint his bald head yellow? Is he touring like that? It just looks weird. ;-)

Coldplay should sue Corgan for being all yellow.

I heard Gallagher plans to sue Billy Corgan, as he was the first person to smash produce.

Let’s get a class action suit against Corgan for whining his way through songs and producing mass headaches!

I know the guy Corgan is suing, and know that he’s shot hundreds of hours of solid Broadcast RockNRoll. I also know that Corgan is crazy if he thinks this guy has anything close to 100 grand to give him.
