  • Nelly will be the new face and body of P. Diddy’s Sean John underwear line. Nelly has the “attitude, the swagger, and most of all the physique that our customers can both aspire and relate to,” Diddy said.
  • According to a source close to AC/DC, the band will kick off their massive world tour on Halloween with a Chicago concert. Their new single will reportedly be called “Rock & Roll Train” and will hit radio around August 28th.
  • It Might Get Loud, a guitar documentary that will feature Jimmy Page, Jack White and U2’s The Edge, will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. An Inconvenient Truth’s Davis Guggenheim directed the doc.
  • Check out this new video of Redman driving his awesome new automobile around Staten Island. “It’s big shit for oh-nine,” Redman brags.

LOL. AC/DC’s first single is called “Rock and Roll Train”? All aboard the Rock and Roll Train everyone! I have absolutely no hope of that new AC/DC being a good album. The fact that Wal-Mart will only be carrying it tells me that it’s going to be a very commercial, stripped-down, radio and family friendly album. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a few rock ballads on there as well. Also I wouldn’t expect any bold, crunching, hard-driving guitar riffs from Angus on there or any dark or hell lyrical references. Wal-Mart wouldn’t go for that.

AC/DC will always be AC/DC, the guitar riffs, the killer vocals and the driving rock with or without the hellish lyrics. I think that it will be a huge success and Wal-Mart knows that as well. After all, AC/DC did not go to Wal-Mart; Wal-Mart went to AC/DC cause they new it would be a huge money maker; it’s called smart marketing. The thing will probably go platinum in record time. Good for AC/DC, good for Wal-Mart, good for us fans. It is a win – win situation for all. Hide and watch.
