Rock Tours Target China, Face Government Interference

China is considered one of the last great untapped frontiers for rock tours. As the country becomes more and more Westernized, bands like Nine Inch Nails, Linkin Park and the Rolling Stones have found new inroads into the market. But following Bjork’s shouts of “Free Tibet!” during a show in Shanghai earlier this year, the government has tightened its grip on who it will allow to play in the country.
